His hands danced in a macabre ballet, braiding shadows in fluid movements and conjuring a spell that caused him to vanish into the waters, escaping the death that Pietra had pronounced his destiny.

Evaline, saved by Caius's valiant action, was now alone in the suffocating silence of the ocean, with the weight of loss and survival crushing her chest.
