Shell-Shocked

Following the intense scrutiny of the congressional investigation, Wesley and Kohen returned to Dallas, their minds set on completing the highly anticipated social media app. The announcement they had made during the congress, coupled with the revelations from the investigation, sent shockwaves across the globe, leaving the public and media alike in a state of disbelief. The news of their groundbreaking work in quantum servers, the Thoth++ programming language, and the innovative social media app had the world watching in rapt attention.

In the aftermath, news outlets clamored for interviews, eager to have either Wesley or Kohen share their insights on prime time. The buzz was palpable, with every major network vying for the opportunity to delve deeper into the minds behind these technological marvels. Social media was ablaze, with influencers and celebrities weighing in on the unfolding events. Some hailed the advancements as the dawn of a new era in technology, praising the duo for their visionary work. Others, however, approached the revelations with skepticism, voicing concerns about the implications of such powerful technology in the hands of private individuals.

The internet became a battleground of opinions, with forums, blogs, and comment sections lighting up with heated debates. Supporters of Wesley and Kohen lauded their achievements, seeing them as pioneers who were pushing the boundaries of what was possible. Detractors, however, raised ethical questions, pondering the ramifications of quantum computing and advanced AI on privacy, security, and the very fabric of society.

Amidst the public discourse, the scientific and tech communities were particularly stirred. Mathematicians, tech gurus, and computer scientists dissected the information that had been shared, marveling at the sophistication of the quantum servers and the potential of Thoth++. For many, it was a glimpse into a future where the limitations of current computing paradigms were obliterated, opening up new frontiers in research and application. Yet, this admiration was tinged with a hint of professional jealousy, as some lamented not being at the forefront of such a groundbreaking leap.

The buzz around the social media app was equally frenetic. As Wesley and Kohen put the finishing touches on the platform, anticipation built to a fever pitch. Users were intrigued by the promise of an app that leveraged the power of quantum computing, speculating on features that could redefine social interaction online. The tech community, in particular, was eager to dissect the app's architecture, wondering how Thoth++ and the underlying quantum infrastructure would enhance user experience and data handling.

As the release date neared, Wesley and Kohen found themselves at the center of a whirlwind of attention. Their journey from the halls of Congress back to the company building in Dallas had been a rollercoaster of public scrutiny, professional envy, and media frenzy. Comments online looked like the following:

@TechnoGenius: "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! THIS IS AWESOME. A GOD. A LITERAL GOD. WESLEY BARNES IS AMAZING! THANK YOU FOR NEW AI!"

@Kate_McNUFFIN: "I do not know how to feel about such technology coming to the light. While some of it seems interesting, the ramifications of such power are blatantly seen. Greed has always been humanity's biggest problem. How will this affect everyone?"

@Elon Musk: "It is good to see others trying to pioneer our future, bearing this burden alone for such a long time is now starting to ease, I am eager to see what awaits our future."

@Noob_LORD74: "This loser is going to bring the end of humanity. Has nobody seen the movies? iRobot, or the matrix, or others. Every. Single. Time. AI is put on a grand scale, the consequences are severe."

After the World continued the go ballistic of such advancements, the Government quickly sent men to Wesley and Kohen at their warehouse. Upon arriving, Wesley had already moved one portion of the server to the lobby for the men to take with them. However what he did not tell them was that he installed a new trojan virus into it, that Orion could freely control. This way, while the government will learn all of this new information, Wesley would get even more dark secrets from them, then the ones he already currently possesses.

"Orion, go ahead and create the social media we talked about. Release it on our website for users to download." Wesley said in a calm tone, looking at the screen full of data before him.

[Orion] "Yes sir, will do."

Thus Orion immediately got to work on the app, which did not take long for him to complete. He finished everything in roughly 30 seconds, with the majority of the time being taken up, was to set up the ability for users to create their own 'custom' AI.

[Orion] "Sir it is finished." Orion said with a voice of pride in his creation.

"Thank you Orion, what did you decide to name the app?" Wesley asked curiously, wanting to see how the AI would come up with his own creations or individuality.

[Orion] "Based on your company name, and Kubera's name, I decided to go with something along the mythological route. So I chose the name: Mimir, based on Norse Mythology."

"Interesting, I like it. Good job!" Wesley said with pride seen in his eyes, proud of his creation of Orion, but also that Orion was developing on his own as well.

Once the app was created, Wesley got a decent amount of KP given to him from the system, but also a massive influx of KP started to appear because of the insane amount of downloads that started to happen.

[Orion] "10 million downloads currently. Make it 30. Now 90. Sir the rate of which the app is being downloaded is breaking records. We are on pace over the course of the next few days to easily hit over 2 billion downloads, while maintaining a majority of those downloads." Orion said.

"Good good, I am going to head back to the apartment to look through the system shop and also go see what Vex is up to in research city." Wesley said while leaving the warehouse with his security detail. Heading back to his apartment.

While heading back, the world was going ballistic over his app. Both normal users, businesses, developers, and celebrities were mind blown by the new AI at their fingertips. This feature alone actually increased multiple companies' value on the stock market because the implications of using such a future to help them in a variety of manners was a boon for the business world. Majority of users had a blast creating their custom AI's, with the majority of people making their AI look like their romantic fantasy character. Whether custom, or a character from famous pop-culture.

From the release of the app, Kohen had a nightmare of work to get done, whether companies, new outlets, the government, or people wanting answers towards its capabilities. Luckily with Kubera, the other AI created by Wesley and Orion, was greatly helping him in this matter, besides the in-person meetings that were to be scheduled in the future. From this moment, things started to look up in a positive manner for Wesley's grand plans. While the world was shocked with the recent developments. They are not prepared for what is coming ahead.
