Alone in the Car

Sitting in the man's car, Qianyou stole a glance at the man beside her.

He tightly pursed his thin lips, not saying a word. The somewhat cold moonlight blurred the sharp edges of his deep and profound features. In that faint light, the man appeared even more charming and charismatic. Like a huge magnet, he drew you in deeply before you could react.

The silence in the car was terrifying. Qianyou didn't even dare to breathe loudly, afraid of angering Pei Yimo. She squeezed towards the car door, curling up her petite body, as if there were poisonous snakes and fierce beasts sitting beside her, pressing herself against the car door.

"Where do you live?" Suddenly, the man spoke.

"What?" Qianyou was puzzled, looking at the handsome profile of the man.

"I mean, where is your home?" he asked again, this time with a gentler tone.

Understanding that he wanted to send her home, Qianyou quickly shook her head. "No, it's not necessary. President, you can just stop the car here, and I'll take a taxi..."

"Miss, I find that you enjoy defying me very much," he narrowed his handsome black eyes, a fleeting hint of severity flashing by.

Qianyou knew this man was about to get angry, although she didn't understand how she had provoked him. But she knew that proud men like Pei Yimo never liked others disobeying them, just like that man...

Resistance was futile, so she reluctantly reported her address, letting the president escort her home.

The car smoothly stopped downstairs at Qianyou's home. She lived in a somewhat remote area, but it was close to the company and the rent was cheap.

She thanked him and quickly opened the car door. However, the door didn't budge, obviously locked from the inside.

"The car is centrally locked," the man said coldly.

Qianyou sighed helplessly in her heart and sat back anxiously. She knew that tonight would definitely not end so easily.

There was a strange silence around, mixed with the inherent aura of the man, making Qianyou breathless.

"Do I smell bad?" At this moment, the man asked coldly.

"What?"

Pei Yimo turned his head, his eyes sparkling like morning stars. At this moment, a few strands of hair were restless on his forehead, carrying a hint of unruliness and arrogance.

He asked, "Otherwise, do you hate me? Why do you always keep your distance from me? Are you so uncomfortable being with me?"

Pei Yimo, who was used to women throwing themselves at him, finally encountered a tough nut to crack today. The woman in front of him was unremarkable, even ugly, with outdated hairstyles, outdated suits, and a pale face hidden behind a pair of oversized glasses. If it weren't for her delicate and pleasant voice, he would have thought she was over thirty.

But it was precisely such a dowdy woman that he inexplicably disliked seeing her always looking at him with an uneasy and distant gaze.

"I'm sorry," Qianyou said softly, her hands on her knees tightly clenched together.

She should apologize. Just now, in front of many employees at the venue, she pushed him away so mercilessly. No matter what the reason was, she shouldn't have done that. After all, Pei Yimo was just trying to prevent her from falling to the ground and kindly helping her.

Pei Yimo snorted coldly, "Humph, I don't accept it."

Qianyou looked at the man with a somewhat pitiful gaze, but he still maintained a cold and gloomy expression.

"I really didn't mean it just now. Actually, the reason I pushed you away is because..." Knowing that if she didn't come up with a good reason today, Pei Yimo wouldn't forgive her.

Qianyou took a deep breath, clenched her fists tightly, her beautiful eyes slightly lowered, and then revealed a secret that had been buried in her heart for a long time.

"Because I'm afraid of men touching me."
