I had just returned from my walk with Margaery, and I was now in my office, when I heard a knock on the door.
"M´Lord, it's Jonnel." Jorgen said, and I smiled.
"Let him in." I said, and with that the door opened, and in came Jonnel.
"It's been a while, Jonnel." I said with a smile.
"It has, M´Lord." He said.
"Indeed, but I doubt you came here for a reunion?" I said, and he nodded. He hadn't came for a reunion.
"No, M´Lord. Sansa has asked me to bring you a message." He said, and I nodded. I didn´t see any letters, so it was verbal.
"She´s awaiting you in her chambers." He simply said. And with that I stood up.
I wondered why she suddenly disappeared in the middle of my talk with Lady Olenna Tyrell, perhaps I´d find out now.
So with that, I made my way towards Sansa chambers, which were found in Maegors Holdfast, quite the way away from the Small Councils Tower.
------------
I slowly opened the door, as Sansa's soft voice gave me permission.
Uyn and Jonnel were standing guard outside Sansa's Room, and the way Uyn looked at me, as if I was some enemy made me cautious.
Perhaps I had underestimated her natural charm.
But I ignored that, as I walked into the room, and came face to face with Sansa Stark.
She stood in her usual long dress, with her outfit and hair almost identical to the time Joffrey tried to strip her in the middle of his Great Keep.
I stepped closer to her, as the door closed behind me.
"Sans-" I tried to say, but I was cutt off as she slammed into me, enveloping me in a hug.
"I'm glad you're back." She said softly, and I smiled, responding with the hug, she was 14, and about to turn 15 and she had no allies at court, but me.
Sure, her friendship with Margaery had rapidly improved, more than I expected. But other than that, she had nobody.
"I'm glad to be back, Sansa." I said, and she stepped back. Out of the hug, as she blushed slightly.
"How's Kings Landing been?" I asked her.
"It's been... better. Margaery Is sweet and funny, and Tommen has treated me extremely well. He's so sweet." She said and I smiled.
"Indeed, he is." I said, and Sansa shifted the topic.
"How was the conquest, did you get hurt?" She asked, and I shook my head.
"I barely fought, and when I did. It was mostly surrounded by guards, so except a few blunt hits, I suffered no damage, though the same could not be said for my enemies." I said, and Sansa smiled slightly.
"So you're now the Lord Paramount of the Riverlands and the Vale, no man has ever been the ruler of 2 regions, since Aegon the Conqueror, except for the Iron Throne." She said.
"Indeed, I'm making history." I said, and she nodded.
"Now, how goes your other businesses?" I asked her, and she became surprisingly happy.
"It's gone great, Alysanne deals with almost the entirety of the buisness, I only reap the rewards and invest some money. And Jack has been a great help, his City Watch has ensured the security of all my businesses, so it's been flourishing." She said.
In truth, she was not the only one they protected. Although I kept it extremely hidden, I had been working on something as of late, and it was total supremacy in the tavern industry, and I had already won.
Over 70% of Kings Landing Taverns were mine, and they were flourishing.
The reason? I had spent some time with the cooks, and although I lacked a few ingredients, pizza, pasta, a lot of soups and meat dishes had been created, and they were on full display throughout my taverns.
I even had some in Highgarden, Oldtown, Lannisport, Storms End, Sunspear, Lordsport, Winterfell and other major cities.
And with it, my information network had boomed, led by my new Chief Spy, Cedric Bracken, my cousin.
We had taught hundreds of people the art of cooking, and especially the art of our new dishes, and we had spent a lot of money to propagate said cooks, and we now had cooks in many major Households. And the most important places our cooks were found?
Highgarden, Winterfell, Dreadfort, Casterly Rock, Kings Landing, Storms End, Pyke and The Twins.
I read a lot of fanfiction during my time on Earth, and I never quite understood why cooks, etc were underestimated. Sure Petyr Baelish and some of the spy characters bribed said people, and certain actions were made to keep your cooks unbribed, or double check food with food tasting.
But those reincarnations never considered using their advanced cooking knowledge to their favour, building Inns and Taverns, and training your own cooks.
For the food at this age was quite bland, with most flavour coming from salt, sugar and some expensive spices. But the different food I had develop, tasted great itself, and as such it had seen great success.
So long the dish couldn´t be tracked back to me, which I had ensured with a series of accident, it would continue to grow undisturbed.
However I put that into the back of my mind, as I continued to talk with Sansa, and she relaxed more and more.
Surprisingly, she was originally sort of on-guard, when I first came through the room, but she slowly grew more and more relaxed.
But this was warning news, someone was working to turn Sansa Stark against me, and I sure as hell wouldn´t have it.
And so, after a few hours there, I went to my office, ordering Jorgen to not let anyone disturb me, before I opened a hidden door in my office, and began wandering through the corridors of Kings Landing.
I, as any other transmigrator had seen the potential within the hidden corridors and routes under the Red Keep, and I had of course, taken advantage of it. I had sent some of my guards down It, and we had mapped a few routes, though we were still far away.
Either way, I took out a map and began following it, and soon enough. I came into a servants room, the room assigned to the Chief Cook.
"Rodrick, wake up." I said, as I closed the door behind me.
He recognised my voice, and he slowly rose from the bed.
Rodrick had been the cook back at Stonehedge, and as such I was fairly confident in his loyalty, and even better. His entire family lived there.
I had adopted similar strategies to all my agents, I brought in people with some sort of family, orphans with a brother or sister, and so on. And I kept them in "secure locations"
In this age, when there was no pension, or you could easily find trustworthy people, family was gold. The only ones whom the Commoners often trusted, and would die for. A valuable safe-measure.
Either way, Rodrick soon stood up and adressed me.
"M´Lord." He said, as he bowed.
"Stand Rodrick." Was all I said, and he complied.
"When I came here, I noticed that Uyn, one of Sansa's Guards were giving me a hostile look, and surprisingly. Sansa was on edge at the start of our meeting, luckily she warmed up to me. But I need to know who's manipulating either of those, for someone is getting in her ear." I told him, and he nodded.
"Great, tell your servants to listen and keep an eye with Sansa. And lastly, you've served me well, Rodrick. You'll be rewarded soon enough." I said.
"Thank you, My Lord. I owe everything to you, you've given me this great rank and pay, I could never repay you." He said, but I shook my head.
"Your continuous loyalty, is all I desire." I said, and he nodded.
And with that, I turned around and left, heading back to my office.
I would make sure nobody napped my "Key" away from me.
