ISAAC'S POV
The morning sun glared through my windshield as I drove, squinting against its brightness. My head was pounding, a reminder of another sleepless night spent thinking about her. Imogen. My stepbrother's wife. The woman I couldn't get out of my head.
How the hell did I end up here? Driving to a bar at 9 AM on a Tuesday, desperate for something to numb this ache in my chest. If I'd known I was gonna start actually caring, I would've never even looked her way. But here I was, unable to focus on anything but her.
It must've started that day I dared her to kiss me. I thought she'd laugh it off, maybe call me an idiot. But she didn't. She actually did it. And damn, what a kiss it was.
