In the present:
Kian edged closer to Aru's bed. The knife in his hand released a cold glint as he lifted it above the bed. In pure excitement, he was about to stab it into the bed.
However, before he could proceed, something sharp touched his neck.
"Don't move," a cold, childish voice said.
Kian halted.
Aru had positioned his dagger at Kian's neck, near the spine. The sharp edge of the dagger pressed against Kian's skin.
"What are you doing in my room?" Aru inquired.
"What do you think?" Kian gulped, attempting not to show his shock.
He was taken aback when the sharp edge of the dagger grazed his skin. His hair stood on end as he heard Aru speak.
Aru decided to play along and said, "Nothing good, I presume."
Hearing his words, Kian smirked and attempted to turn around. However, Aru pressed the dagger a little harder, halting him in his tracks.
