"What are you doing?" the matriarch asked.
The chill emanating from her voice bore into the third elder, causing him to shiver.
"I... He..." The third elder stumbled, his voice cracked.
He struggled to voice the words in his mind.
According to him, he had sufficient reason for everything he had done. But the moment he met the frosty eyes of the matriarch, the words in his mind disappeared.
He couldn't think, much less explain after that.
The murderous intent in the matriarch's eyes prevented him from speaking. He didn't dare to raise his voice again.
