CHAPTER THIRTY EIGHT: PACKING
The week for summer camp came, the very new month of August
Margaret chatted me up that she had left the country for her grandparent’s place last week and because of that, she didn’t even come to school
Last week Thursday and Friday were the beginning of our vacation for the summer.
I sat on my bed packing and folding my clothes into the box I will be taking.
“Knock knock…” there goes the door
I sighed because; I already know it is my mom at the door
“Come in mom” I said to her
The door opened and my mom entered with a carton bag
“Mom, what is with the carton bag? I just asked you for a black sneaker to wear there” I said as I looked at the bag curiously
“Oh dear, you know that I can't just come with a thing” she said as she sat on the sofa next to my bed and dropped the carton bag on the bed
“I know that was why I told you to bring white sneakers along” I said as I closed my box and faced her as she put the carton bag on her lap
