The Humvees stopped inside the checkpoint halting all cars from both sides as they had to wait for the convoy to pass but as the soldiers got down and out of the vehicles people began to feel impatient but no one dared to express it.
Vincent was observing the Checkpoint which was now different than when he left it. He could see the tension in the body language of his former Team, they were battle-ready with fingers resting on the triggers. Sandbags were stacked around making covers for the soldiers, and he could identify new bullet holes in them.
"Alright boys, wrap it up! Package is inbound!" the Staff Sergeant said in a loud clear voice.
"Last equipment check, give me a hoo-ha"
"Hoo-ha!" everyone resounded back at her with firm powerful voices indicating that they were armed and ready.
