Erede turns, ready to leave. His last words to me somewhat hit a soft spot in my heart. Looking at Erede’s sad back while he tries to leave. I feel sorry for him.
And I halt his movement by speaking to him in a low voice. “Keirah will not be happy to hear about you leaving like this when you came here to see her... when she wakes up. She will be mad at me if I don’t let you see her and baby Lana when you come all the way here to see them...So wait here….”
I walk inside Keirah’s emergency room. And approach James and I quickly pull him out of the room to where Erede is standing, waiting for me.
James and Erede exchange wary glances, and there is a lot of tension between them. I stand in between them, holding James in place with anger fueling in each pore of his body.
“Erede…. tell him what you wanted me to tell him on your behalf.”
