The Wolf's Rose

Rose lay in Mikkel's arms as the sun began its ascent in the morning sky. "Did you notice Arne follow your mother out of the Great Hall? It makes me wonder." 


"I did. But I never gave it much thought after they left. We were way too busy with your introduction to the pack. Besides, they both need a mate. Arne lost not just his mate, but their child in a difficult childbirth. Mother, of course, lost dad in the war. Both are entitled to some happiness." Mikkel leaned down and kissed Rose before rising and dressing. Turning to look at Rose, he asked, "Didn't you say something about knocking on my mother's chamber door early?" 


"Oh yes. I was distracted by all of this masculine beauty before me." Rose merely chuckled at her mate astonished look. Turning away she grabbed clothes and dressed. Mikkel kissed her on her cheek and said, "Training on the grounds. If you need me send one of the omegas to get me."
