My days as a child grew like those of Lith. At first, since we were fed enough, we could practice our respective breathing techniques to develop both our Mana cores and bodies. But as we grew older, our food supply was insufficient. This led to pain, as my malnourished body could no longer keep up with my Mana core after continued practice.
This revealed a flaw in my breathing technique. A proper breathing technique should allow one to attune to worldly mana and use it in place of life energy to sustain oneself. So, I began adjusting it to nourish my body with the worldly energy called Mana.
However, it proved very difficult, not to mention my poor baby body didn't have much endurance.
After that, I decided to train in what I could: Spirit Magic, the 7th element magic of this world that only True Mages can use. Although it's called Spirit Magic, it's basically an extension of Will. Like in "Dominator Touch" of "Solo Leveling," one can use their will to command the world's Mana and force it to do their bidding.
For the second and whole third year, I only trained in Spirit Magic. Since it was a manifestation of will, I essentially slept or acted like I was sleeping while training Spirit Magic inside a Dreamscape. But soon, I hit a bottleneck. Though Spirit Magic is now my most powerful magic, allowing me to lift approximately 300 kg, it essentially applies a massive amount of force.
With no opportunities left as my third year in this world ended, I looked at my screen and gazed at the Gacha opportunities, deciding what to do next.
I used the Grimoire to get a Magical Legacy, but it turned out to be waste of effort, as it needed me to be atleast Cyan core rank mage to access it.
So, I decided to do what I could, and that was Gacha.
Taking a look at my system, I counted all the Gacha opportunities.
[Host has one Designated Gacha of Artifact, three N Gacha, one SR Gacha, and one Random Gacha]
Apart from the designated Gacha that I earned as a newbie gift pack, the Random Gacha is the default Ten Year Gacha, while the others I earned through achievements.
For N rarity Gacha, it wasn't much—just my first walk, first words, and first problem-solving achievement.
The SR reward was for my first hunt. Why hunting? Well, I had to fulfill my massive calorie needs. So, like Lith, I went to the only hunter in our village of Lutia, Selia, and learned hunting from her. It wasn't free, as I had to pay with half of my hunted game.
Even so, it was worth it. Now, back to the main topic.
[System, use Random Gacha first]
[Host used Random lottery for the first time, awarding the best possible reward]
I widened my eyes as the Gacha machine prize changed from a mix of rarities to a single rarity, UR.
Damn it, it means all of my first draws will end in the best possible outcomes.
Well, wait, maybe I shouldn't be too much astonished, as same thing happened with Grimoire.
I waited as the Gacha machine spit out a UR-marked golden ball.
It slowly opened, revealing a figure that looked like a sickly young man. My smile froze.
What the hell is this weak-looking guy doing in the UR section?
"No, maybe he is someone great. Let's not judge a book by its cover," I thought as I opened his informaStyle
*****
Character Name: Mumud
World: Overgeared
Rarity: UR
Description: Mumud was born with unparalleled magical talent, a genius whose potential seemed limitless from a young age. However, his brilliance was overshadowed by a cruel twist of fate: an incurable heart disease that cut his life tragically short. Despite his early death, his achievements in magic were groundbreaking, yet they were stolen by his own teacher who claimed Mumud's legacy as his own. Thus, this never-before-seen genius faded into obscurity, his true contributions hidden away in an unknown corner of history.

No wonder he looked like a sickly young guy. What an unfortunate guy, I thought, looking at his description.
"System, show me the stuff I can obtain from him," I said, and then a bunch of things were displayed. After some thinking, I selected these three.
Firstly, Mumud's Magic Talent, which is a must-have. Second, his unique magic, Mumud Style Magic. And lastly, his Unique Magic Knowledge, called Mumud Magic Grimoire.
After selecting them, I chose to inherit the talent on the spot. I felt like I was experiencing the transition from SD to 4K. It was such an evolution, unlike anything I had ever felt before.
I saw the world in a different light. "All things seemed so mysterious." Many ideas about myself and knowledge about various things started to rush to my mind, forcing me to stop using my newfound magical senses.
Thankfully, I didn't I heritage his Magic Knowledge too or who knows what would have happened.
Closing my eyes for a bit, I felt relieved. "I shouldn't carelessly use it. Maybe the reason Mumud had heart disease was because his body couldn't handle this much magical talent," I mumbled to myself. Well, it definitely seemed to be the case.
Then the blinking notification from my system attracted me back to it.
[Congratulations, Host, on your first Gacha. System Shop is now available]
I nodded upon hearing this and then checked what stuff it had.
"Hmm, so Overgeared is actually a VR novel-type world." After checking it, I closed it as there were still more Gachas to open.
"System, use the designated Gacha roll for Artifact." My reason for choosing an artifact was simple: I already had Mumud's talent. And let me tell you, the Overgeared world is a lot more powerful than this one. So, if his talent is dubbed as the best magical talent, then there's no other reason not to choose him.
So, it wouldn't make much sense for me to chose a bloodline, not to mention my own body contains two bloodlines of Dragon and Phoenix as my Father has bloodline of Black Phoenix while Mother has bloodline of Red Dragon. Though both are dormant as they never bothered to use magic higher than chore magic, not mention chore magic, cant even be called magic.
[Host, do you want to use it on a random multiverse or on the Overgeared world?]
"Use it on a random multiverse," I said, and once again, the Gacha machine began turning.
[Since it's the host's first designated spin, the host will receive the best and most favorable outcome]
I waited as another UR ball opened, and another figure showed up from it.
It was an energetic young man wearing a magical-looking bracelet.
Opening his information, I learned he is also a reincarnator who has a cheat named Core Collector, the bracelet on his hand.
It allows him to collect cores and then use their abilities without restriction.
From him, I selected his Core Collector, his blessing Life Disintegration, and lastly, his innate talent, Alchemist Touch.
While Selecting Core Collector, it also showed bunch of abilities and from it I understood, actually to awaken Core Collector, one needs a Core, so it showed me various abilities, the original owner collected, and from it I chose the one I found most Practical.
[Life and Death Sword : A Dual bade Sword, with one blade capable of stealing life energy while other bestowing life energy]
It can not only heal and kill but also extend ones lifespan, a very good ability, as Mother, Father being not awakened will grow old and die but with this I can prevent that.
I then inherited his talent and blessing as well.
After opening my status, I checked the new additions.
[Life Disintegration ( Blessing ): Reduces any being killed by the host to energy spheres, which the host can absorb to increase his powers. There is a 10% chance for beings to drop their cores.]
[Alchemist Touch ( Talent ) : Ability to change any material into another, only if sufficient energy is available. Also allow molecular manipulation.]
Seeing this, I used the other three N rarity Gachas. I used them on the Overgeared world, resulting in one rare category longsword, one spell called Wind Blade, and one sword technique called Three Echo Cut.
As for UR rarity, I left it for future use.
Speaking of talent, I also had the Omni-Talent Awakening Crystal, so I decided to use it.
[Using Omni-Talent Awakening Crystal]
As the system announced, a crystal glowing in rainbow colors appeared from my inventory. It shot into my body, and I began to feel a wriggling sensation inside me. It was a pleasant feeling, as if something was unlocking within.
[Host Awakened Two Talents]
[One is related to the Body and one is related to the Soul]
[Since they are newly awakened and untrained, they will start at the lowest rank]
[Host acquired Awaken (E), Arcane Eyes (E)]
[Awaken: Increases the quality of anything by 1 to 10 times. Can only be used a single time on anything]
[Arcane Eyes: Magical eyes that mutated due to the sudden surge in the host's magical talent. Can see the flow of magic to some degree]
"Cool, these are amazing! Especially Awaken, which can literally increase the quality of anything."
