Legacies II

After sending everyone to their castles, Leon called Luna.

Luna appeared and immediately kicked Leon in the forehead. "How dare you leave Luna alone! Now Luna won't tell you the other features of the Tower," she said, crossing her arms.

"What do you mean, leave you? I can't possibly carry such a big Tower with me," Leon said, rubbing his forehead. Despite her small size, Luna's smack almost made him faint.

"Duh! You didn't let Luna explain. How can you take Luna without knowing how to do it?" she huffed, angrily poking Leon's head with her finger.

"Sorry, after the fight, I was feeling sleepy, so I just rushed to sleep," Leon apologized.

Luna nodded, crossing her arms again. "Since no one has accessed this Tower for the last 1000 years, it makes the first challenger to enter its Master."

Luna then created a seal mid-air and told Leon to drop his blood on it.

Leon nodded, pricked his finger, and dropped his blood on the seal, becoming the sole owner of the White Obsidian Tower.

"Here, now you are The Master, not just a Temporary Master," Luna nodded.

Leon nodded and then asked, "So what was about the Temporary Master thing?"

"It was simple. Master Ophelia was a legendary figure, so many sought her legacy. But suddenly, we were out of the place where many challengers used to come. I sensed somehow we got dropped into a space crack, leading to our arrival at this place," Luna explained.

Leon kept quiet, knowing he couldn't reveal that he was the one who brought them there.

"Anyway, because of that space crack, we ended up in this place where the only living human is you, not to mention your friends," Luna said, shaking her head.

"This activated the safety protocol, which stated that if the Tower remains vacant for 1000 years, the first challenger to enter and successfully clear even one floor will become the Master," Luna said, pointing at Leon.

'Hmm, didn't I just summon her a few days ago? How can it be 1000 years?' Leon thought, unaware if it was the system's doing or some other reason.

Leon let go of the useless thoughts and asked, "What are the benefits of becoming its Master?"

Luna nodded and created three bubbles, each containing something. "Here are the things you will gain. These are actually the first three stages of the Divine Moon Art. The Divine Moon Art is divided into 10 layers, and since you cleared the first floor, I will give you the first layer."

"As for the other two layers, you have a choice now. Either take the second two layers or take two of my personal spells," Luna said, creating two more bubbles.

Leon stared at the four bubbles and took the first one, labeled '1st layer'. "What is your suggestion?" Leon asked.

Luna grinned and replied, "Good thinking. If you had chosen without asking, I would have kicked you out of the Tower." Luna then handed him the second layer book along with a spell book named 'Crafter'.

"1st layer alone is not powerful enough, but with the 2nd layer, it is suitable for your level. As for the spell called Crafter, it was the most versatile and also Crowned Magus Ophelia's signature spell."

"I won't say more as you will eventually learn as you study it," Luna said and told Leon to step out of the Tower.

Leon did as she said, and the Tower began to shrink until it was reduced to a white ring with a metallic golden string in between.

Luna picked up the ring and handed it to Leon. "This way, you can always take it with you."

"However, in this form, its abilities are vastly inferior," Luna shook her head.

"I don't even know what its abilities are in full form, much less in this form," Leon reminded her she had yet to introduce the Tower's auxiliary abilities to him.

"Forgive me, I completely forgot about it. Well, in Tower form with a single floor unlocked, you get unlimited mana, but now in this form, it only doubles your overall mana and mana regeneration," Luna explained.

"Also, there is one more ability you can utilize now," Luna said.

"What is it?" Leon asked, curious.

"It's called Devouring Evolution. Basically, it can devour other artifacts and then evolve, but not just any random artifact. It needs to meet a certain standard, and your bracelet is above that standard," Luna explained, pointing at the Core Collector.

Leon frowned and asked, "Will I lose the abilities of this artifact?" He couldn't possibly forfeit the Life and Death Sword.

Luna shook her head and replied, "No, it will get incorporated into the Tower. Not to mention, it can even unlock any hidden abilities of the artifact if there are any."

Leon nodded and then used the Devouring Evolution. The ring expanded and covered the entire bracelet, then returned to its ring form.

"Hmm, it will take a week to fully digest the Core Collector and incorporate its abilities into the Tower," Luna said, checking the status of the Core Collector.

Leon nodded and then asked, "By the way, why did you stop acting like a brat?"

"Nothing, I just evolved the moment you dropped your blood. So now I am no longer the brat you saw earlier but a fully grown adult with my whole brain functioning," Luna said.

"I see, so as a Temporary Master, I only partially awakened you?" Leon asked.

"You're right, that was the case," Luna nodded.

Then, suddenly, she began to grow bigger until she became a fully grown adult woman. She extended her hand to Leon and said, "Let's work together, Leon, until the day I find you not talented enough to inherit my legacy."

Leon took her hand, jokingly saying, "Your legacy? So you are Ophelia?"

"Yes and no. This is nothing but an artificial intelligence core with some of her memories and personality, enough to teach her inheritor," Luna said.

"That's why just call me Luna," she added.

"Duh! It was you who first said you are Ophelia, not me," Leon shrugged as he grabbed her hand. Grinning, he said, "Now that you are with me, forget about changing to another inheritor until at least I am dead."

Luna looked at Leon, who was grinning like a child, and chuckled. Returning to her Fairy-like form, she rested on Leon's shoulder, saying, "Very well, I look forward to it."

Leon nodded and began to move to the central park area, where they agreed to gather after obtaining their legacies.

Leon was the last to arrive, as everyone stood there with their new legacies.

"You came at the right time; we were just introducing our arts to each other," Lith said.

Leon also explained how he had to defeat each floor until he could acquire his legacy, which would naturally take time.

'His art will definitely be the strongest of us all,' Lith thought, and Solus agreed with him, saying, 'But it was also because of him that you even got the chance to have such a powerful art. Not to mention the breathing technique stated in it is millions of times better than your crude breathing technique,' Solus said.

Lith nodded, and then everyone together began to learn their legacies, helping and teaching each other spells if they could.

And thus, two years passed before they knew it.

These two years were simple but train , learn, eat, sleep and repeat for all four siblings.

Aside from it Rena no longer studies magic despite having the capability to, causing Elena and Raaz ro heavily scold her for it, but after hearing her reasons they understood that Rena dont want to be a mage as she likes village life more.

Being a Mage would mean leaving the village life which she doesnt want to, Elena and Raaz were helpless but eventually they let her do what she wants.

And now the four siblings usually treats the patients while Nana tests for most of the time.

Until today

It was a slow day at Nana's house office, when two hunters barged in, bringing on their shoulders two more hunters, covered in blood.

"A magical beast!" The hunter in the lead shouted. "A magical beast is rampaging through the Trawn woods! Please, you have to save my men. That monster almost ripped them apart"

Lith, Leon, Tista and Trion quickly dismissed the patients as they made space foe three wounded men.

Nana also came forward ro help them.as it was no longer a simple fever or injury.

Together they were able to save one of them, as two of the three were already dead before they could help them.
