Selection of Elites II

For Michael and Leon's father, the battle was quite impressive, showcasing the potential of the younger fighters. However, for the others, it fell flat. They had participated in far more powerful and dangerous battles, so this one felt lackluster by comparison.

They found it boring, and it was understandable—the Earth Splitter was just a basic lightning slash, and the Tempest Punch was merely an air cannon. To those who had seen true power, the techniques were hardly worth noting.

As more of these uneventful battles continued, Satoru sighed, "At least show some concern. These battles are going to decide their future."

One of the others quickly shot back, "You're the last one we want to hear that from."

"Yeah, we're at least watching; you're outright sleeping through it."

"Yeah, seriously, wake up."

Michael and his father glanced at the group, feeling a sudden dread about the future as they observed the instructors bickering, drinking, and throwing insults at each other.

Suddenly, Michael noticed something. "Mom, why are you joining them?" he exclaimed, seeing her watching the battle with a drink in hand.

"Oh, relax," she replied with a shrug. "It's not like I can drink with the little one," she added, showing them her drink.

"It's actually mana wine. One sip of this, and a normal person would be blasted into a blood shower," she said, eyeing the glass.

"What level is necessary to drink it?" Michael's father asked, intrigued.

"Above Emperor," his mother replied, examining the wine closely.

"So how come Leon can handle it?" Michael asked, puzzled.

"His physique is different. I can see it removing the excess energy rapidly as he drinks the wine. For him, it's just normal wine," his mom said, checking Leon over as he took another sip.

While they were enjoying the referee and the contestants kept performing their task ands soon, the Elites were selected.

As the contest came to a close and the last of the battles were fought, the atmosphere in the Colosseum was one of anticipation. The referees and contestants carried out their tasks, while the audience eagerly awaited the results.

After a brief period, Alucard emerged, having reviewed the performances and made his decisions. The 100 participants were now divided into several rows, based on their performance. The first row contained 14 people, the second row 10, the third 20, and the last 30.

On the side, the remaining 26 individuals who didn't make it into the elite ranks waited anxiously, their eyes fixed on Alucard.

Alucard, with a warm smile, addressed the crowd. He first looked at the 14 people in the front row. "Welcome to the second-level elite squad of our organization," he announced proudly. These individuals, including Rhea, James, and other standout performers, stood with a mix of pride and relief.

He then turned to the second row of 10, acknowledging their achievements. "Congratulations to the 10 of you. You've earned your place among the Golden Elites."

Following that, he addressed the third row of 20. "You are now part of the Silver Elites. Continue to train hard and prove your worth."

Finally, he acknowledged the last row of 30. "Welcome to the Bronze Elites . Your journey is just beginning."

The 26 individuals who had not made it into the elite ranks looked on with a mix of disappointment and hope. Alucard's gaze softened as he addressed them. "For those who didn't make it this time, remember that the path to greatness is not always straightforward. Keep striving, and there will be opportunities for you to rise again."

"Now, all of you follow me," Alucard instructed as he led them to the various facilities Leon had crafted for his organization.

He first took them to the City for Common Members. As they flew high in the air, Alucard allowed them to enjoy the magnificent view of the city.

"This is the City for Common Members," he announced, causing gasps of amazement among the group.

"This huge city is only for common members? I thought it was for the highest elites," one person mumbled, followed by many curious voices.

"Now, let me explain the features. Everyone should listen, not just the common members. All the cities have these functions, except for the luxury in higher cities and some other details," Alucard continued.

"First, there is a training area where you can simulate any environment, increase gravity to any degree, and even recreate open spaces as long as you have proper memory of them."

"Second, there is a forge where you can deliver monster materials, and suitable equipment will be forged for you from these materials."

"Lastly, there is the Alchemy Hall, where you can collect various potions and herbs as needed, but remember, all of them require contribution points."

Alucard then snapped his fingers, and a book appeared in each person's hands. "This book contains all the rules as well as the class schedules for you all."

"Now, common members, you may leave us here," Alucard said, allowing the 26 people to fly off to the city where they were reviewed by the guards, who would direct them to their places.

Next, they moved on to the Bronze City, which was twice as large as the previous one.

"It has all the basic features I mentioned, plus you have quests for each individual, which are detailed in the handbook, and a new feature called Law Space," Alucard explained.

"Open the book and read the section on laws and rules," Alucard instructed calmly. As everyone eagerly opened the book, they found the laws and rules section. Upon reading, many exclaimed at the detailed information provided.

"Now, don't be surprised. There are many such things in the world. Don't get too surprised as you progress," Alucard said playfully, showing them the Law Space. "This Law Space is the lowest tier, having only the four basic elemental laws: Fire, Earth, Water, and Air."

"Though there are four, you will not be learning all of them. As you read in your handbooks, you will comprehend their discrete units and now you have four kinds based on your comprehension."

"Now, off you go, Bronze Elites."

Next, they visited the Silver City, which was twice as large as the Bronze City and had more quests. "Here, the new features include Light and Dark laws in addition to the basic four," Alucard announced.

He then left the Silver City and moved on to the Gold City, where they were introduced to Time and Space laws as well.

Finally, Alucard led them to the White and Black City, which was four times larger than the Gold City and comprised two cities: Black and White.

"Here, you will find additional laws of Fate, Chaos, Freedom, and Order, plus two special laws that are mandatory for all Black Moons and White Moons: Original Sin Laws and Original Virtues Laws," Alucard said.

"Of course, once again, you will learn their discrete units. And with that, you may continue."

"However, for you all to remain in the Black Moon Elites and White Moon Elites, you must comprehend at least one Sin Rule or one Virtue Rule. You have all the descriptions for the original seven rules of each."

"But if any of you fail to comprehend one by the end of the next month, be prepared to be removed from the Black and White Moon Elites and replaced by someone who can actually grasp the mandatory basic rules for these positions," he warned, allowing them to leave.

The 14 individuals now had a clear understanding of the stakes and felt a surge of pressure. None of them wanted to be replaced, and they were determined to work hard to achieve their goals.

With that, Alucard concluded the tour, leaving the newcomers to explore their respective cities and facilities.
