Separate ways

As the horde was dealt with and the rewards were handed out, Michael and Leon returned home to enjoy their last days with their family before embarking on their next adventures.

The day of departure soon arrived. Their father took them to the station, where they waited for their trains to arrive. The atmosphere was filled with a mix of excitement and bittersweet farewells.

When the first train arrived, their father placed a reassuring hand on Michael's shoulder. "Michael, take care of yourself. By the time you return after breaking your limits, the organization will be significant enough to take over the world," he said, patting Michael's head.

Michael smiled and nodded, choosing to focus on the more immediate goal rather than the grand ambition of world domination. "See you, Dad. Leon," he said, waving as he boarded the train.

Their father and Leon both waved goodbye to Michael as he left for his new journey.

Once Michael was on the train, Leon turned to Ainz, who materialized behind him. "Ainz, you left a shadow guard with him, right?"

Ainz nodded. "Yes, I created a few shadow assassins to guard him. No one will be able to harm him while they are around."

Their father, who had been listening, also nodded in agreement. With that, they both began to head back home.

As they arrived, Aiden tapped his staff, creating a portal. Both he and Leon stepped through, reappearing back at their house.

"Michael's gone," their mother asked, looking concerned.

"Yes, he's gone on a new journey," their father confirmed. "He'll be back eventually."

As Leon prepared to leave, Elina asked, "Leon, when will you be gone?"

"I am going to comprehend some Rules and then I will leave," Leon replied, stepping into a portal that appeared before him.

Elina nodded, patting her stomach lovingly. "Did you see it, little one? Your brother is working hard to make a better world for you," she said, speaking to her unborn child.

Their father joined in, hugging Elina as they enjoyed a peaceful moment with their unborn child.

Inside the portal, Leon took a moment to review the system's final stats. Among various gacha categories, his attention was drawn to ten special disciple gacha tokens.

They were among te reward for his organization rewards.

"System, what are these disciple gacha?" Leon inquired.

[They will summon special people from all over the multiverse. They will be normal humans without any power level but with immense potential.]

[They are random, so you might get ordinary individuals as well as those with mythical potential.]

[All these disciples will become the pillars of your organization in the future.]

Leon nodded in understanding. Opting to maximize his chances, he decided to summon all 10 of the tokens together, believing that using multiple draws at once, like in gacha games, might yield better results.

Leon nodded in approval, taking in the situation before addressing the newly summoned disciples. As the ten teenagers, five boys and five girls, all around 16 years old, bowed deeply before him, they spoke in unison, "Thank you for giving us a second chance at life."

The system chimed in to clarify, explaining to Leon, "Don't be confused. They were all summoned at the very moment of their deaths."

Clearing his throat, Leon responded, "It's alright, you can all stand up."

"but why we are summoned here?' Suddenly a girl among them aske as they stood up.

As they rose, one of the boys, clearly from a modern Earth background, suddenly interjected, "Oh, I know! We're here to fight against demons attacking your world!"

Leon raised an eyebrow, recalling the boy's background, and replied, "Well, somewhat, but not exactly."

He continued, "You've all been summoned through an ancient contract. In your past lives, which none of you will remember," he paused, activating his special skill, Absolute Bullshitting, which never failed to work. The disciples' eyes widened as they hung on his every word.

"At some point in life, I crossed paths with each of you. We may have been special friends, best friends, or even lovers, and during that time, I made a pact with your souls," Leon said, weaving his story with a hint of drama. "This pact ensured that whenever I called upon you, you would answer my summons. But it only works when you're on the brink of death."

"Anyway, the pact worked, which means you all died, and now here you are, reborn and better equipped for this new world to explore with me," Leon said, shaking off any lingering confusion in their minds.

"Now, your first mission is to get stronger. To do that, we'll start with the awakening ceremony," Leon instructed as he led them to a chamber where a stone altar was surrounded by thousands of beast cubs.

Leon gestured towards the playful cubs, "Each of you must choose one. They will be crucial in your journeys." He then handed out a video explaining the awakening process and the importance of the beasts.

The disciples watched the video carefully, absorbing the information. Understanding the significance of their task, they began exploring the nursery one by one, holding a beast encyclopedia. Each took their time, knowing they had 24 hours to make their choice.
