-Chapter 107-

-POV MC-

I smiled, reveling in my scalding bath. Since the hatching ritual, I felt that the bond I had with my dragon was stronger than the simple connection Viserys had with his. Perhaps it was because he wasn't a mage, but I instinctively knew I had more control over my dragon than he did over his, even though we participated in the same hatching ritual.

My strengthened bond with Rhaegal wasn't the only advantage I had gained. I also developed a resistance to high temperatures, whether it was touching heated metal or bathing in boiling water; nothing adversely affected my body.

I wasn't yet at the point where I could put my hand in fire or immerse it in molten metal, but I had a resistance that was a significant advantage.

"Your Majesty, is the bath to your liking?" Alayaya asked in a sensual voice while gently massaging my scalp.

I smiled and let out a sigh of comfort: "You have no idea."

I turned to look at her and said, "I would invite you to join me, but I'm afraid you might not withstand it."

"You might be surprised, Your Majesty," she said, unphased.

I smiled again and then turned back to properly enjoy my moment of relaxation.

Finally, I had finished. I had quelled all voices disapproving of my reign. I had control over four kingdoms and the entire Sunset Sea and Strait.

I had secured the loyalty of the North and the Westerlands while taking the Reach and Dorne hostage. The war was finally over, and I could move on to the next step of my plan.

"What do you plan to do now?"

I was surprised, not by the question but by who was asking it. Although she was my servant, Alayaya was a former prostitute in her mother's brothel.

As advanced as the era from which I come might be, it seems I am still influenced by all the years I have spent in this world.

I smiled softly and said, "There's so much to do. First, I need to ensure I have an heir, and quickly."

"Yes, the House Targaryen counts but a few members," Alayaya said, continuing to tenderly massage my scalp.

"Next, I need to finish the construction of the shipyards in the capital."

"The prisoners have made good progress," she noted.

"Yes, I agree. At the current pace, all work in the capital will be completed by the beginning of the year 301, but the renovations could well be done in less than 6 moons," I said, truly impressed by the progress of the work.

'I need to reward the new Master of Construction, Willas Tyrell. Whatever new system he has implemented, he has clearly managed to excel. Perhaps I should have him join the high council,' I thought.

"What are you thinking about?" Alayaya asked.

"About appointing someone as an executive member of the Royal Council," I said.

She stopped for a few seconds, and then I said, "Willas Tyrell has played his role as Master of Construction very well."

She said nothing, and I asked, "What is his reputation among the young women of the capital?"

"I don't talk to many noble young women since I am not a lady of the court but rather your guest. But from what I've learned from my mother's girls and the young ladies who owe me services, he is very intelligent, calm, and he loves animals," Alayaya said.

"Hmm, I might offer him one of Ghost's pups."

Her movements suddenly stopped, and I burst into laughter, prompting her to let out a sigh of relief.

Alayaya said in a slightly pouting tone, "I believed you."

"That was the intention."

KNOCK...KNOCK...KNOCK

I rolled my eyes and said exasperatedly as I got out of my bath, "I can't even enjoy a peaceful bath for an hour."

Alayaya handed me my robe, occasionally glancing down. I raised an eyebrow amusedly but said nothing, tying my robe before saying loudly enough for the person behind the door to hear, "Enter!!!"
