Chapter 70 Teleportation works, consumes the energy of seven nuclear power plants for once

Luke rode his scooter to Jeremy's dojo, he had expected a cheap place, but it looked more like a fitness center. He went inside, it looked modern and classy. The trophies were clean and neatly lined up in display cases. There was a bright metal reception desk and Uthe was busy at a terminal.

He came closer.

"Just a moment," she said. She looked up, looked at Luke.

"What are you doing here?"

" Oh, I've got a buzzing head from studying. So... "

" Luke, there's no one here at this time of night ..."

He grinned.

" You can take a photo and show them that I was there. "

Uthe sighed.

" At least let me show you the store..."

He followed her, it really was a cross between a martial arts center and a gym.

"We can't compete with the holo facility, but we're very well equipped for the industry here," Uthe babbled. They came back to the front. A group of young adults their age were waiting for them.

"Hey, what kind of center? No one here!" came from one of them, who was covered in pimples.

Uthe walked up to them.

" You again. "

" Yes, we are! Where's your golden cock now? Huh? "

" I told you, he's not available for your shitty duel!"

" Mimimmimi, get him here or we'll wreck the place!"

Luke took a closer look at the trophies.

One that came closer tried to grab him.

"Ey you fu..."

He sent him to the ground with a punch. The others looked at him. Grabbed on, he sighed. To minimize the damage he struck minimally until they lay on the ground groaning.

He looked at Uthe, who glared at him.

"What?"

Everything around him went black and when he could see again, it was mixed with pain. His hands were stretched upwards and shackled to a chain hanging from the ceiling. What he saw was him in a warehouse. He looked down at himself.

At least his feet weren't shackled. He pulled at the chain, but it was tight. He pondered. The pimple-face approached him with others, grinning. He waited until he was close enough, pulled himself up by the chain and kicked it down, only to be hit with a taser by someone behind him. His muscles tensed and he slumped.

"Fuck!" came the voice.

Spotty face scrambled to his feet and kicked at Luke. Luke laughed. Until the darkness caught up with him. He woke up again and again, water being thrown in his face and Pimple Face shocking him with the stun gun.

He lost his bearings, as he often did. He couldn't remember how many times they had kicked him before they shocked him. He darkened in front of him. He flinched when he felt a hand on his cheek and opened his eyes. At first he thought he saw Tes, but she was younger. He had to think, then he remembered. She smiled as she looked at him.

"How long have I been here? ..."

"A few hours, hang on a bit longer."

Her voice faltered, it went black around him again. He regained consciousness when he felt someone tugging at him in panic.

"No, no, no ..."

He had to cough.

"He's alive ... Shit, what have they done?"

Luke opened his eyes and looked into Liz's extremely worried face. She pulled something out of her pocket, the restraints on his hands loosened and he slumped to the floor.

He didn't really notice, he only half noticed, how he was carried out, how he was loaded into a jet helicopter. He came to on a stretcher, he had been given an infusion. He sat up, pain shooting through him.

He found several places on his body, burns from the electric shocks. He sighed. The room was small. The door opened, Luke heard the constant bustle in the radio center. Sarge

came in, looking worried. When he saw him sitting down, some of the concern receded.

"How are you?" he asked.

"Everything hurts, Sarge. The stun guns really hurt ... " he felt a spot.

Sarge remained silent.

" Uthe called me as soon as those guys dragged you away. "

" For how long? "

" Half a day."

" Felt like days. "

Sarge tousled his hair.

"Come on, your grandfather will calm down when he sees you walking again."

Luke nodded, removed the IV and followed Sarge through the hallways. They ended up in the interrogation room, or rather, the room with the glass panel. Luke saw the idiots and pimple faces on the other side.

"Ha ... I knocked his teeth out, didn't I?" Everyone present looked at him. Liz was the first to hug him.

His grandfather looked at him.

" Do you know them? "

" Nope. I actually wanted to train at Uthe's friend's dojo. Making contacts, well, they turned up, got rowdy and well, I didn't see the guys with the stun guns."

"Hhmm," he looked at the window.

Someone was banging on the window from the other side.

"Hey you fuckers! "

His grandfather growled.

Luke was pushed from behind by Tes.

"Uhh what are you doing Luke," came from her.

He capitulated. Liz let go of him, went to her grandfather and whispered something to him. Sarge had gone along so that he was alone with Tes.

"Tes... I have Te..." she paused and turned him to face her.

"Did you? And what did she do? "

He looked at her.

"I don't know ... so I don't know if it's true or just ... "

She stroked his head.

"Alex, I'll call Uther."

Her grandfather looked at her.

" What? Uther will ... "

"No Alex, they'll come with a lawyer and continue to terrorize the civilians. "

She typed something on her cell phone.

" Tes, he's busy with Mega City, I don't want him ..."

" Too late. "

There was a loud bang and Uther stood in the room, a small figure in a hooded cloak beside him.

Uther stretched.

"Ha, the teleporter still works. "

His grandfather looked at Uther, speechless.

"But it used the energy of seven nuclear power plants. So," he looked at Luke, walking towards him, looking at the wounds.

 " I..." Luke began.

"You're not going to do any training for a few days until your circulation is fit again, that goes for bed sports too."

"She's busy studying and other things anyway," he muttered.

"What about your studies?" came from his grandfather.

Tes grinned.

"He can, he's got it written down."

John came in.

" Problem, the idiots next door, got Star Lawyer who just went in to see them."

Uther looked at him.

"Lawyer? Them?"

John sighed.

"Yeah. Doesn't seem to be the first time."

Uther grinned and walked out. Tes looked after him worriedly.

"He'll kill her, and shooting her would be more humane."

Luke glanced toward the scabbard, pimple-face conversing with the lawyer, who looked like a pig.

His grandfather pressed the listen button.

"Dude! get us out of here! Look at my face, sue the fucker!"

" Yeah, yeah, we'll do it like always, like ..."

Uther came in with a beaming charismatic smile on his face.

"Now I see what you mean, Tes..." came from his grandfather.

Luke looked at him questioningly.

"The last time I saw him grin like that was when he got an ex-dictator in a mini-state to surrender voluntarily... "

"Ah, I see you're already here!"

He was already standing by the lawyer.

"Very well, I've already filed a lawsuit because your client ruined a media deal for my company. "

"What? What do you sack of shit want anyway!" roared Pimpleface.

The lawyer blinked.

" Excuse me?"

Uther grinned broadly.

"Your protégés have assaulted, kidnapped, psychologically and physically abused an athlete sponsored by my company. Rehab is going to be expensive for him."

He put his arm around the lawyer.

"The athlete?! "Spotty face.

"Certainly the reigning district champion."

He looked at Pickelgesicht.

" Took a good stick for the sports training."

" Wait, you keep talking about a group, which one do you represent? "

Uther let go of him, stood in front of the mirror and spread his arms.

" Oh, you don't have any experience with corporations yet, Miles Corp. My legal department is already dragging its feet, background checks, court inquiries and so on. "

"He's just making this up, isn't he?" came from John.

"No, Luke was sponsored by him, he made some calls. Now he's totally ruining his life. " came from Tes dryly.

"What do you mean, life completely?"

Tes looked at John.

"John, you can ruin people in the background, Uther makes it legal in public and then he makes them disappear. "

John looked at her. Tes looked at Uther, then at him.

"Yeah, the celebrities in England back then that you never found. He rounded them up and took them to the Mariana Trench. None of them got down. All eaten away."

A stifled laugh came from the hood.

Luke looked at the window, Uther went out. The group inside was silent.

"Hhmm, I'm curious to see how the trial goes," came from John.

The lawyer opened the case, pulled out a pistol, shot the group and shot himself.

"That was unexpected..." came from John in shock.

The security guards rushed in and looked in horror at the bodies.

"Come on, Luke George, I'll take you home," came from Liz, who took him by the hand.

Before he could leave, Tes crumpled him and Poncho up once more.

The exam was coming and they had to pass it. 7 days of exam marathon, then they only had to come once more before the internship started a week later. After the last exam, he lay dead on the table. The class was restless.

"Before you go. You'll all be there tomorrow with your papers. "

Everyone nodded and left.

" See you in two hours," she called out. He went home too, managed to wash up, came into the room and was scratched by the Saksia.

Half an hour later, she evaporated with a kiss. He put on some pants, freshened up the bed, went to practice and lay down. He slept until morning when he went jogging and then rushed off to school.

Sat relaxed in the chair and stretched.

Sarge came in, as usual. He looked at his watch. Saskia hurried in. She had put a sports bag around her neck and had put some on too.

"So, sit down."

She nodded, breathing heavily, and settled down in her seat. She struggled for breath.

" Good. Let's get down to business then. Does everyone have their papers with them?"

Everyone pulled out a bundle. Sarge collected them and checked off his list. He put the pile on the table and sat on the edge.

Eddi raised his hand.

"Sarge, why are there two different colored papers? "

Sarge looked at the pile.

"I'll come back to that in a moment. First, who gets to rewrite the exam the day after tomorrow. "

Everyone fell silent.

" Ted, Lisa, Iwon, Leo, Henry, Phillip, John, Liam, Sam, Penny, " that was more than half. Leo clapped his hands over his head.

"Ted, you said you could do this."

" Oops ..."

She groaned.

" You have time to come here tomorrow and study, I'm available for questions. "

Sarge lit another cigarette.

" Saksia, you just barely made it."

She smiled.

"She's been celibate since yesterday."

She gave him a dark look, then grinned.

"Let's start with you then, Saskia, where are you doing your internship? "

"Um, yes. I actually wanted to do it with my aunt, but she dumped me at short notice because she gave the job to a rich little snob. I'm doing a split internship, first with the military police and then in the PR department. I had to go yesterday until this morning for final interviews and tests."

Everyone looked at her in silence. "What, the PR department has better facilities than my aunt. "

She looked at Sarge. " Sarge, I have a question, why do the vaccinated have a pregnancy block until they are 25?"

" Until then, the vaccination is completely inside you, even with the hereditary ones. But you could still get some diseases."

Bill laughed. "Like Uncle."

"And Sergeant, is it true that there's a display case with a limited edition EXO model in the entrance area of the council building? My aunt told me about it."

"Yes, that's right. Your aunt thought that only a few were being produced. There's one there for everyone to see. The last I heard, there's going to be a raffle soon."

"But how does the council get them?"

"A donation. "

" Oh that's why, their upset because they can't..."

It went round and round, Bill at his mom's lingerie store, Leo at his mom's flower store, Eddi at the film studio, Ted at the sports agency. Lina at the modeling agency, Lisa at the same one. Luke switched off at some point.

"Luke? Where are you?"

" Huh?" He looked at Ted, who looked at him.

" Oh right, I'm with the 1st Exo Division. "

There was silence and they stared at him.

"Not at a graphics studio?"

" No, I wanted to pilot an Exo like that.

" We want more info Luke" came from Lina.

"Well, they've found a way for me to do an internship there. So that I could do the performance tests, physical tests, medical examination in one day. I had to give a hair sample, spit in a cup, pee in a cup, sit in a pile and give sperm.

Then they took my blood. They did a gastroscopy and colonoscopy, yes, and then I had to go to the psychological well eight and test.

Asso yes and Sarge had to go there to give an assessment and performance prognosis. But I'm now allowed to do the 36 months of practical training there."

Leo looked at him.

"Where's the hack?"

Sarge took out the two different-colored bundles and put them on top of each other.

"That's the same hack Saskia didn't mention."

"Sarge, what's the hack now?"

" Both have been confiscated, the Ai won't let the civilians use the weapons that are always with the soldiers very here. "

" But what about those on the firing range. "

" Those were practice weapons, they were only active when you shot at the practice targets. "

" And what does your mom say about that, Luke? "

" My mom?" he pondered.

" She laughed and said psychologist wasn't for me anyway."

" And your father, Saskia?"

She smiled.

"Well, Bill has a knack for that sort of thing and he was shocked at what my aunt did. He told me he didn't give a shit about her. I can do it. She should know by now."

Sarge clapped his hands together.

"So, I'm off for the day, I'll keep in touch and drop by for a check-up. I'll see you here tomorrow. I have to take the papers to the administration now."

That was the beginning of his freedom. Luke used it to practise, Saksia joined in. Luke got the parts from his grandfather and built the EXO model, Saskia hung out with him and often slept with him. She was also there when Luke took the finished model to his grandfather. She inspected the built-in holo-projectors.

"Cool, that's the eighth row. My aunt only has one of them to project her company logo."

Alex grinned.

"What do they need them for?"

Ai straightened up and yawned. She saw the model and ran to Alex. She grabbed the model and turned it in her hands. Saskia stared at the Ai.

"Well, I put all the parts in, including the extra stuff," he opened the cockpit.

"I took a camera that I found in Liz's box of broken cell phones," he said, pointing to the parts. Ai nodded and patted her head. She placed the model on the floor. Saskia plucked at his shirt.

"Holos can't touch anything..."

Luke looked at her.

" Grandpa put the projectors in here that are used for the training facilities. "

Saskia walked up to the Ai and touched her, the Ai turned and looked at her and patted her head, whereupon Saskia touched the spot. The Ai squatted down and touched the model. She began to move. She looked at Luke.

"You gave your grandpa the models..."

He looked from the model to her. " Yes, why? He can raffle them off better than I can. "

The Ai looked at Luke as the model stopped. Luke walked over.

"I still have test batteries in it, Grandpa said he'd put the new batteries in. "

Ai looked to Alex.

"Who messed with the shipping?"

Ai looked sheepishly at the floor.

" But," Alex picked up the charging cable and plugged it into the model and then into a power strip.

The doll started moving again and stomped through the living room, it wasn't charged, but it made the noises.

Saskia looked at Alex

"Can't you build a body like that?"

The Ai looked at her and shook his head.

"Why?"

The Ai pointed at her head.

" Huh?"

" There are no storage devices that small . Here on Earth ."

She looked at him .

" So Luke has already shown pictures of Earl, then why?"

" Role models of those who don't want the virus to land on any planet. So we have to eradicate it."

"But how, do they know that?"

" We have a moon base where the talks take place. When you two are ready, I'll show you."

Then the internship began, he was flown out for basic training, which surprised Luke. He had assumed that everything would take place in Hawaii. On Sarge's advice, he had left everything personal at home.
