At the age of four, Tigra was officially returned to her mother to be raised. Traditionally, the parent only saw the child rarely or not at all, depending on the mother's status. In Luke's case, he saw her often because Pinx smuggled her out of the palace and then played with her. Or both of them snuck into his ship when he was on his way back to Earth.
Teheen panicked the first time, but then she always brought Tigra back safely. She more or less accepted it, but Tigra had to fulfill her teaching duties.
Luke also found that Bill had fucked his way to the top in the harem and was now successfully providing the whole harem and palace with clothing. He was also lucky about Bill, since he was still his muse according to Bill. Liz and Sue decided against having children. Everyday life was too hectic. Liz had managed to become a space race car driver while George maintained her machine.
The beginnings were very difficult for Liz, human pilots were not popular with the investors. So Luke had to get creative. He founded an investor group that Earth corporations could join to market their products offworld. He was surprised at how many joined. Even his father's label joined, as did Alex. However, the money was only just enough for the cheapest plane plus the trappings. So he pumped his own money from his companies into it.
Unfortunately for him, Teheen found his tablet with his investor plan when she went to pick up Tigra. The game had been boring for her for a long time. She held the tablet in her hand and looked at him.
"What is this?"
Luke reached for Tigra's bag.
"A hobby," he commented.
"A hobby. What costs that much?"
He held out the bag.
"For a racing team."
She raised an eyebrow.
"Racing? They'll never let you join. You have a lifetime ban, if I remember correctly."
"Tsk, they're so vindictive."
"My mother says you caused quite a mess. How many genes did you change so that you could screw with all the pilots?"
"It was only 156 genes."
She looked at him admonishingly.
"But why are you suddenly interested in racing?"
"I don't have one myself, but Liz got her license and before she gets enslaved to a racing team."
"But you won't get far with that plan..."
"Really?" '
She nodded and Luke had an idea.
'And what do you think should change there?" "
She frowned.
"Do you want to take advantage of me so you don't have to work?"
He grinned and reached for the tablet.
"No, just an opinion, but since you're not interested, here's the bag."
He exchanged the tablet for the bag.
She looked at him suspiciously. Tigra came running and jumped on Teheen.
They left. Not surprisingly for Luke, she had stolen the tablet.
A few hours later, he got Tablet back, with the excuse that Tigra had taken it. Luke didn't believe a word she said, and when he opened his investor plan, it was already a juggernaut of planning and now it was a neatly listed plan. With legal notes and loopholes.
So he used the plan and Liz drove in the Eternal Red Queen racing team with Teheen's logo from the handheld. Middle finger with crown. The crown was modified by Luke so that it was Teheen's crown.
As with everyone, Liz had only moderate success at the beginning, but since Luke told her to keep going as long as she wanted and money was no problem. Lynx's father wrote to her at some point saying he wanted to invest, and other alien corporations, hoping to get rid of products on Earth, and to make sure it went well, he often accidentally left a tablet in Tigra's bag when Teheen picked it up. After the third time, Teheen demanded direct access to the group of investors.
Luke had smiled, given her the and thus provided her with a new hobby.
On Earth, he succeeded in further populating the Moon and cultivating the asteroid belt between Earth and Mars. Trifles by galactic standards. He had talked things over with Kia and made up, they had come to the conclusion that the chemistry was no longer right, as it had been at the beginning, but they had remained friends.
Berta had become his bodyguard and, to Luke's chagrin, often brought mutant animals with her that he had to transform. So it came about that over time, in addition to Peter's troop, he had 28 bodyguards from different animal species. Later, the operators of the groups were added, with Lorelei taking the lead.
Luke sat in his office in the council tower and clicked through the system, barely finishing one report before 10 new ones appeared in his inbox. He groaned, leaned back, lit a fag, rubbed his eyes. There was a knock at the door.
"Yes, what is it?" Since Charles was in Pansion, he no longer had a receptionist, let alone an assistant or secretary or anything like that, Berta opened the door.
"Someone wants to see you," she said.
"Well, let them in, then."
A change was always good, he pulled on the fag, John came in. He looked around. His once sparsely furnished office in the tower had been filled. New sofa corner with table and fridge. Small coffee kitchen. Holo-TV system, the command table. Which was overloaded with toys and painting supplies from Tigra and Pinx.
"Oh, what a rare visit, what can I do for you? I thought the group was fully staffed."
John looked at him.
"Ha, very funny, since you've been in power, everything has shrunk to corporate espionage and not even that anymore."
"Aha, why is that?"
"Because of you?"
He pulled on the fag.
"Because of me?"
John came closer.
"Changes in legislation, weakening of companies."
"People need a constant John."
"Aha, and why did you renovate the shelters and I mean the things are better than we ever managed?"
Luke blew a cloud at the ceiling.
"Intergalactic requirements, like others, and since I eventually the" He holds up an old access card.
"I had to modernize it."
John looked at the card, his eyes widening.
"That's an old Miles card."
Luke grinned.
"Even an older John."
"So when there was only the Omega Group..."
"Right."
"And what does it say?"
Luke put the card into a card reader, which he had to get from an archive, and the holo opened on the table.
A video was playing, showing Uther.
"Running," Tes said.
"Since I promised the world government back then that I would leave a successor. Well, Luke, unfortunately it's going to be you. To make future shit shows easier, I've decided to leave you some software and hardware. Don't worry, it's always up to date."
Luke pressed the pause button.
"It has the coordinates to the storage complexes, John. Full of Omega equipment, robots, exo-mechs, aircraft, blueprints and even ship plans that Uther used to get to Mars."
John turned pale.
"And yes, he did it to my genetic code, I don't know how, but yes. The card is activated with the ID and so is the access."
"But that stuff is ancient..."
Luke grinned.
"Maybe... but think about how many battle-ready Exo Mechs are still active?"
"A handful, maybe..."
Luke grinned.
"Well, don't worry, I don't have any plans yet, but what brings you to me?"
"Well, I want to know why you haven't rebuilt your mansion."
Luke had to think about it, some idiots had burned it down, with the result that he had to put the obelisk in front of the tower. Fortunately for him, the cellar had remained intact, as had the command table.
"Hhhmmm I don't need that anymore, I'll set up an environmental zone."
In fact, he had everything demolished, and after Berta said that it was an ideal breeding ground for certain animals.
John didn't seem to like the answer.
Luke ashed in the ashtray.
"John, I have a habitat on the core world, what do you think, where my parents, Liz and Co. live? There the habitats are assigned according to status."
"Aha..."
He grinned.
"Otherwise, I was assigned a habitat on the moon, so?" "
John sighed.
"I... need your help..."
"You? My help?"
"Bonnie will fail with flying colors with her master. "
"Do you think that, or? "
"No, Bettina says the same. "
Luke took a drag on his cigarette.
"How can she fail? She was so keen to get the upgrade."
"That's the problem, Luke, the board won't believe her." He came closer.
"There are no private individuals who would spend such a ridiculous amount of money, only companies."
Luke looked at John, and he believed him.
"And even if they believe her, no company will hire her."
"Oh..."
John nodded.
"Nobody wants my daughter, especially with the added point that she didn't achieve any fame at Kikamura." "
"Ah, I heard from Tina that you both were there." '
'The Search and Destroy Duo."
John looked at him.
"Luke, the two of them have always skirted the rules with their actions, and the company never sent them on a mission when you were on the road, even when you saved the operators' asses. They were pulled out."
"Why?"
"They're your fangirls, Luke..."
Luke stubbed out the butt.
"All right. What do you need my help for now?" "
Maybe a job for them."
He didn't know whether to laugh, John always acting so omnipotent. Luke had to give him credit, he just didn't know if John was seriously worried about his reputation, or if he was really worried about them, or if Bettina would rip his ass apart. "
John reached into his pocket and pulled out a bundle of papers, which he handed to him.
"Here is their elaboration."
Luke reached for it, skimmed through the first pages, and when he looked up, John had disappeared. Luke scratched his head, activated the system and checked to see which university Bonnie was at, but he found nothing. He sighed, picked up the phone and dialed the number for Uthe's gym. It rang and a grumpy Tina answered.
"Hello, welcome to the sports paradise!"
"Which university is Bonnie at?"
"None of your business, pervert!"
Luke sighed.
"Tina, ... just tell me which university she's at. "
It took a while.
"Luke..? "
"Yes.." He was beginning to wonder what kind of people were calling there.
"Uh.."
"Yes?"
"Uni 7, she says she has to go there for something..."
"Thanks."
He hung up, clicked on Uni 7 in the system. She was in the same mega-university complex as the others. He sighed, stood up.
Berta opened the door and looked at him.
"Tell the others we're going on a trip."
She nodded, Luke switched to standby and left his office. He looked out at the megacity, which looked a little better but was still a juggernaut, looked down at the forecourt where a group was demonstrating. He looked at Berta, who came in with the others.
"Who are they?" he pointed to the group.
"Environmental activists."
"I see!"
He looked at the mess and destruction the group had caused on the forecourt.
"Ai?"
The Ai appeared.
"Security should take them away."
"Won't that encourage their movement?"
"Really?" He went to the elevator and went down.
Security came running.
"Mr. President?" came from him.
"Are there protocols about the mess they make?" he pointed to the demonstrators.
"Sure, the cleaning crew always has a lot of work to do when they leave, they leave garbage lying around, destroy the green space, we even had to plant four new trees because the old ones were destroyed."
"Good, send me the reports and document what they've destroyed when they leave."
He didn't wait for an answer, but went to the stairs of the underground car park and descended. The government limousine was waiting downstairs. He groaned inwardly.
"No, Luke, you can't drive the SUV anymore, you have to take the limousine, you have to travel according to your standards."
The driver hurried over to him.
"Sir?"
"To University 7."
"Got it." The driver opened the door for him, and he got in. They drove off, and Luke lit a fag, took his cell phone and dialed a number.
"Kaperan, tell me, what do these environmental nuts want, anyway?"
A sigh was heard.
"They're the new generation of radicals who think they know everything better."
"I see. I'll have the damage they cause to buildings written down. I want you, as the minister for the environment, to have a written record of what they do and the damage they cause."
"That's easier said than done. Since we don't have an espionage department at the Ministry of the Environment, it's difficult."
Luke groaned.
"Okay, then I'll take care of it myself," he put on.
"Mr. President, we have an espionage department," he murmured to himself. He dialed a new number. It was picked up.
"Sir?" came from another number.
"What can you tell me about the weirdos hanging around the Tower?"
"They're harmless, just idiots, sir."
"Good, but can you still deliver the damage and the mess they leave behind?"
"Sure, but like I said..."
"Thanks," he said, hanging up.
He took a drag on his cigarette. He took the tablet out of his pocket, activated it and opened the investor group.
"Oh dear... Teheen is really too much fun." Luke didn't know how she did it, but the group was making a profit, even when Liz lost at the races. Luke had to start bringing products of the investor group onto the market. Fortunately for him, they were low-tech products, then beauty products, which always sold well. Medicine too. The next step would be to revolutionize the communications market.
The car stopped and the driver opened the door. He thanked him, Berta and the others stood by and Luke walked to the entrance. The security guards there were irritated. He walked past them to the reception desk, where an older woman was absorbed in her work.
"Yes?" she said rudely without looking up.
"Where do the master's exams take place?"
"Lecture hall 9, building D."
"Thank you."
He went on, he had to go across campus, which rather surprised him, because there were only a few students to be seen, and those who were there stared at him. Luke entered the building, looked at the map and walked towards the lecture hall. The closer he got, the more students were standing and waiting. Luke didn't care, he walked towards the door, in front of which stood a guard.
He nodded, opened the door and entered the lecture hall.
Hundreds of seats in front of a blackboard. At the blackboard stood Bonnie, looking a little pale. In the first row of seats sat a group of professors, staring at him indignantly.
"Who are they?!" came from one of the rows.
Luke pulled Bonnie's paper out of his jacket.
"Who am I?" he approached.
"Do I need an advertisement above my head?" Hm.
It seemed to dawn on them.
"I want to know if she passed or failed."
"Failed!" came from a female professor.
"Aha, why? I just want to understand."
"That's wishful thinking, what she wrote in there."
"What?"
"Are you kidding me?!"
Luke looked at Bonnie, who looked like the world had collapsed.
"I want to know why? Because this is about my property, well, ex-property. The mansion burned down. But it was still mine and the land."
They stared at him.
"You gave her a free hand?!"
"Of course, my personal security would have been a handgun and mutant sharks, where I always threw bandits."
Berta suppressed a laugh. Luke looked from her to the professors.
"Then take away the point, what else?"
One of the professors cleared his throat.
"Well, that was a realistic security upgrade for a private person and I'm talking about realistic. You can't say that the list is realistic. Dreamlike yes, but not realistic."
"And since she has already submitted two failed items, she is out."
"Hm," Luke looked at the things that had been submitted before the versions of the elaboration.
He looked at the professors. Turned around and went to the door.
"That's it?" came from the one who was pushing the most.
"Yep, Bonnie at heel."
Bonnie nodded silently and followed.
"Wait! You come here for this?" the woman wouldn't let up.
Luke looked at her.
"Sure, were you hoping I'd bribe you?"
"I what? No!"
"Look, I respect you and your ability to hold on to the next generation, and believe me, it's going to be a challenge."
"Are you threatening me?!" she wouldn't let up.
"Let me put it this way. Do you know why I haven't bought spaceships or technology from aliens?"
The woman wanted to say something, but a professor interrupted her.
"Go on."
"The danger of becoming dependent on how it works. I want us as Earth to do something independently."
They looked at him.
"I have offers from at least three star sectors, spaceships plus personnel for control and maintenance."
He waited until Bonnie came to him.
"Of course, we would have high-tech, but no pig that would know how it works. The technicians on the moon were taken by aliens and instructed in the matter and they still have to ask. "
"Yes? And how should we do that then?" came from the professor.
"Don't worry, the Ministry of Education is working on setting up curricula and exchange programs."
"And what does that look like?"
"You as professors will be given the basic knowledge, like ground crew and maintenance technicians, etc."
"But..."
"They've already done that to us, with no consequences. So don't disappoint me."
He left them sitting and left the room, Bonnie followed him silently when they were outside, the limousine drove up, the driver got out.
"The vice principal said she doesn't give a shit every time..."
"Yeah, no big deal. Bonnie, do you have a student room here?"
She shook her head.
"Old room at my parents'. '
Luke sighed.
He pushed her into the car and got in.
'Uh, sir, where to?" It came from the front.
"Hawaii Miles Corporation."
"Aye sir."
Bonnie looked at him.
He grinned.
"Don't worry."
His cell phone buzzed.
"Present."
"What's the president doing at the university?"
"Loose ends, so what's going on?"
"Just the opening of the meet & greet center, where you're supposed to be in two hours!"
"I'll be there," he said, hanging up. They were silent during the drive. They arrived, the door opened and Luke got out, nothing had changed.
Bettina was standing next to her car.
Bonnie got out with her head bowed. Bettina went up to her, took her in her arms, looked at Luke.
"Oh, Bonnie, come to the Tower in two days, get a job to earn some money."
Bonnie looked at him questioningly.
"In two days?" "
"Yes, I have to go to the doctor with my girls tomorrow on Kernwelt and have a few business meetings, so in two days." "
"By the way, why aren't they here?"
Luke turned to the car.
"Tiheen is with Taheen, who is enjoying the fact that she was the first to bear a daughter before her siblings, and Pinx is hanging out with her sister. "
"So let me get this straight, you're playing the grandmother card."
He thought for a moment.
"Yep."
"Aren't you afraid that something might happen?"
"Well..."
"Why?"
He got in.
"Because Taheen would set the galaxy on fire and because other empires have realized more than once that you shouldn't mess with a mother and grandmother."
He signaled to the drivers, and they drove off, and he arrived at the meet and greet center that he had built at the emerging spaceport because it was supposed to match the minimalist, square style he had in mind for the spaceport; it looked like a rectangle of glass and steel, a green space with trees. He spent years arguing with architects and organizations that thought the project was ridiculous and wondered why he should build a new building instead of one in a megacity.
Luke got out in the underground parking lot, which he had chosen because it had an underground entrance; it was once a supply hub. It was in the middle of nowhere, but a spaceport would grow and need space.
He took the elevator down to the hall; according to the schedule, all construction work should have been completed, but when he got out of the elevator, there was chaos. There was dirt everywhere, signs were destroyed, and facades were smeared. Jannet looked a bit panicked when he got out of the elevator.
"You know Jannet, I know a few aliens who like that, but," he came closer,
"they came in through the emergency exit and not just through the main hall..."
Luke looked around.
"Document and list who it was?"
"Some environmental nuts, the same..."
"So... "
"It looks worse outside..."
Luke walked silently to the main entrance, the door opened with his hiss, he saw a devastated green space, deep wheel tracks, fallen trees, the walls of the building smeared with graffiti and dirt. He looked at it, it looked at Jannet.
"Please make a press release, kick the secret service guys in the ass, have them collect all the dirt this group has done. The people who start here should get paid vacation until everything is clean."
"And what should we do about the group?"
"If we have more information, a press release. Make it pretty dramatic."
"You say it so easily."
Luke looked at her.
"Jannet, it's simple, this area was chosen because there was nothing here. No special plants, animals, etc. 2800 years ago there was something here, then the natives came and hunted and killed it. The center will bring jobs, the spaceport will also bring jobs, some have already been created by the construction alone. We didn't have geologists, archaeologists, biologists, and zoologists wandering around here for nothing. I didn't have to listen to the crap about what the rebels wanted for nothing. "
"Luke, it's more complicated than that, you have an idea of what people see." Jannet said.
Luke groaned.
"Then Jannet, take the environmental agency with you, let them show the environmental damage that these idiots are causing."
"But that will take time..." "
"I've got time, Jannet, I've got time." Out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone duck and run away. He raised his hand, a scream sounded, and a figure cloaked in camouflage floated towards him as if by magic.
"Let me go, you wanker!"
He grinned, turned the person towards him and then upside down.
"Yes? And if not?"
"I have powerful friends!"
Luke leaned forward.
"All right. And who am I, hm?"
"The damned Pres!"
"Ah, this education, was it you and your friends who did this?"
"Fuck you! This fascist building, destroying the environment!"
Luke grabbed his face.
"Let's see what you're hiding."
He violated the laws of eight sectors to view a person's memories. It was a violent intrusion into the other person's brain. If you overdid it, you left nothing but a biological shell. But since it wasn't the first time he'd done it, he searched for the last memories of his powerful friends and the environmentalist.
He let go of him when he had the information he wanted, the figure stared mindlessly ahead, drool running from his mouth.
Jannet stared at him in horror.
"What..."
Luke flicked the figure on the forehead and his eyes cleared up again, pure fear formed on his face as he looked at Luke.
"Do you want to play it safe and confess everything to them or do you want me to see you again?"
He shook his head in panic.
"Good." He flicked the figure on the butt, the security guards arrested him and took him away.
Luke lit a cigarette.
"What was that, Luke?" came from Janet. He looked at her while he pulled on the butt.
"Hm?"
"That he's suddenly so afraid of you."
"I put something in your head."
She looked at him in disbelief.
"Why do I only believe you half?"
"In some parts of the galaxy it is used as a therapy method, exchanging things for positive ones."
"I see... and you use it for that?"
He blew out a cloud.
"Well, I've used it for many things, for example for Liz, so she doesn't freak out anymore."
Jannet wanted to say something, he took a drag on the cigarette.
"Let's stick to the plan, have the secret service check the last failures of the system."
She opened her mouth.
"Jannet, I play by the rules, okay? Of course it would be easier for me if I sent Berta and her team to every single teleporter now and nobody would find them."
He blew out a cloud.
"I play by the rules," he looked at her.
"And why? I mean..."
He grinned.
"To build up the ego of humanity, Jannet. Otherwise I would be no better than one of the many tyrants in the galaxy. Since the inauguration was canceled, I'm going on a round."
He left Jannet and made his way back to the underground car park, from where he completed four meetings and two visits before finally thundering to the core planet in his plane. Since he was still ahead of schedule, he went through his business appointments there, and then, when he was at the palace, the two girls jumped on him. For him, it was his little oasis.
Two days later, he zapped to his office in the tower because he had taken Lynx and the girls to the moon. He didn't work through in the office. The girls popped up behind him, hissed to the command table. Where they checked and rearranged the painting supplies and started something new.
Luke went to his desk, logged in. Went to the coffee machine and made himself a coffee. Berta knocked and stuck her head through the crack of the door.
"Ah, I smelled it right."
He looked at her.
"I thought you had time off because of your projects."
"We did it, too, marked the territory..."
"But?"
"We want to make holo and film recordings on the net..."
Luke reached for the coffee.
"And what's stopping you?"
Berta came in nervously.
"Since we are metahumans..."
Luke sighed and went to the table.
"Ai, give Berta and the others the authority to do what they want."
Ai appeared, looked at him questioningly, then at Berta.
"Ah, the project, I see, and your appointment is here," she said and then she disappeared.
Luke leaned back and looked at Berta.
"So now you can put your videos online, get the equipment from storage."
"Thank you, um..."
She looked at Pinx and Tigra, who were climbing up to her.
"Dad! Can we go with Berta to see the animals?!"
Luke sighed.
"You have to ask Berta, kids, and only if she has the time and feels like it."
"I don't mind... Etogan has found a breeding ground of mutant tigers."
"Tigers!" Pinx said, who had climbed onto Berta's shoulders.
"Then watch out for them. "
"We will.."
She left the office with the two and shortly afterwards Bonnie came in with Tina in tow.
"Wow... that meta-human... totally awesome..." came from Tina.
Luke looked at Bonnie, who remained standing in front of the table somewhat guiltily.
"So why Duo?"
"Um..." Bonnie began.
Tina stood next to Bonnie.
"My mother kicked me out when I laughed at Bonnie for her master's degree."
"Aha... let me check that."
He picked up the phone and dialed Uthestudio. It rang and Uthe picked up.
"Welcome to the fitness paradise! What can I do for you?"
"Yes, hi, is it true that you kicked your daughter out?"
There was a brief silence on the other side.
"Yes, ma'am. I'm too lazy to look for a real job. She was drinking with her bosom friend and acting like a complete idiot. Yes, I kicked her out!"
She hung up.
Luke replaced the receiver and looked at the two of them.
He sighed.
"I'll hire you both as assistants/secretaries here with me."
Bonnie wanted to say something, but he raised his finger.
"I don't have both, Charles was a total pro. That means you two are responsible for the daily schedules and appointments. If it goes well, the organization of rooms and the like or trips will come."
"Uh... but don't you have Ai here on Earth..."
Luke grinned.
"You'll both get a knowledge and implants stamped, because then you can also accompany me to appointments in the central system."
Pinx appeared out of nowhere and flew towards him.
"Dad! The tiger is huge! Can I have my crystal?!"
Luke sighed, patted her head and pulled the crystal out of his pocket. She snatched it up. She looked at Bonnie and Tina, then at him.
"Who's that?" She floated around the two of them and sized them up.
"These two will help me with my work."
Pinx looked at him, then at the two.
"Woah, I have to tell Tigra!" and off she went.
"Um..."
"You'll just have to live with a dynamic duo hanging around here from time to time."
"Okay... um... we also need something to sleep on. Because Bonnie was also kicked out..."
Luke rubbed his nose.
"I'll get you something on the moon. Ai, add them to the personnel register and send them the folder for their area of responsibility."
"I'll do it," Ai replied.
"Then read up on it and take a look at the software."
Both nodded and retreated to the sofa corner.
He had some peace and quiet, sometimes interrupted by the whispering of the two, who stared at their tablets.
Hours later, when he had found dwellings on the moon and set up the two as a shared flat. He really had peace and quiet.
Berta brought his children back in the evening, with a three-meter-tall, whimpering and frightened tiger in tow.
He looked at him.
"Is that big..."
"Dad! Dad!" Tigra ran up to him.
"Some crazy people were chasing her!"
Luke looked at Berta.
"Unfortunately yes, she's the last..." He pointed at Tigra.
He took a drag on his cigarette.
"Berta, you're all the last of your kind, except for you, since you still have siblings..."
"There's only Ray..."
Luke sighed.
He put his hand on the tiger.
Bonnie and Tina came into the office at that moment and stared at him with wide eyes.
He closed his eyes and began the transformation.
After a few minutes, a woman in her mid-30s stood there with tiger-striped skin, orange hair, and tiger eyes.
She looked at her hands.
Luke exhaled tensely.
"Berta, give her clothes when you describe to Ai what the hunters looked like. Can I send Berta and the others?"
"Thank you..." she replied quietly.
Berta led her away.
"Wow... what was that...?" came from Tina and Bonnie.
Luke looked at the two of them. He grinned because he had a brilliant idea.
Both served as guinea pigs. He modified what the implants were supposed to do and gave them a knowledge imprint.
He was criticized by Lynx later, but saved a good chunk of change that way.
The tigress, who called herself Tygrix, gave Ai a description, so Luke sent Berta and Co on their way.
Before that, Berta dragged Ray to him, so he was also transformed, apart from being male and smaller than her. He looked like her.
