Trifles.

*Erica POV*

"You lied." Hendrix fumed the moment I entered the room.

"Nice to see you too, Hendrix." I smiled and walked past him. "I missed you too."

"You said you were going to spend the day resting. I went to your castle, and you weren't there."

"You went to my Castle?"I asked turning around. "You risked being seen at my Castle?"

"Yes,"He nodded proudly. "And that's the only reason I know that you were lying. Where have you been going?"

A maid brought the basin of foaming water, and I began to calmly wash my hands as I bit back on my annoyance.

"I'm talking to you." He growled.

I glanced up at him and smiled. "I know. May I wash my hands first, sir?

"You don't talk with your hands." He returned. "I need an answer. I need the truth."

I squeezed the towel and dismissed the maid.

Hendrix watched me in annoyance as I took a seat on the veranda.

"Have a seat."

"I can hear from here."
