Fire

*Kiara's POV*

If I had not been looking forward to this day, I wouldn't have actually believed today was Friday.

This marks the last day of our honeymoon, and I asked Annie to make a special dish he would like for breakfast.

He didn't show up.

I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and asked for a magnificent lunch to be prepared for his arrival.

He still didn't show up.

My hopes should have died there, but I was hopeful, stubborn.I requested another special meal and even helped to make it.

Long story short, I have been sitting in front of roast beef with Yorkshire pudding for hours, and my dear husband still hasn't come home.

Home. I chuckled sadly. This felt like a lifeless chunk of bricks; this was not a home.

"YYou should at least try to walk around—to stretch a bit."
