PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CHAPTER

I followed him upstairs, but he was already way ahead of me. His room was shut tight when I reached it.

"Adriel." I called, knocking on the door. "I know some herbs to help relieve the pain. Let me in."

"The wizards will treat me." I heard him say. There was a pause.

"Thank you." He added that before I would voice out my protest, "Please go to bed."

I took a step further, leaving him in the hands of those men, which didn't sound like the best idea. But Adriel was bleeding and stressed; the least and most I could do was give him space. I sucked in a deep breath and walked outside the door.

I planned to stay in my room all night, but I literally couldn't sleep. Aside from the thousands of questions rummaging in my mind, I was worried about his health. Who was Adriel to tell me not to care? He is practically mad, and now that he's hurt, he might be disoriented and unaware of what he was saying.
