Tang Yun proceeded to clean the black liquid that had oozed out of his body – the impurities within him. They emitted a distinctly unpleasant stench.
The removal of impurities holds paramount importance for cultivators, as these impurities act as limiting factors on their potential. Once removed, their potential expands, and the absorption of Qi becomes easier and swifter, facilitating a quicker breakthrough to new realms.
Tang Yun's achievement was exceptional; he had successfully eliminated all impurities within him. In comparison, many cultivators typically remove only fifty percent or less of their impurities.
The technique responsible for this accomplishment was named the Finger of God. Gifted to him by the Divine Physician as compensation for a pill, Tang Yun couldn't use it in his previous life as he didn't possess this technique during his time in the Fundamental Qi Realm.
There were many different grades of acupuncture techniques, but Tang Yun had the highest grade acupuncture technique which was God Grade.
The grades for weapons and techniques follow this hierarchy: Basic Grade, Earth Grade, Divine Grade, Ancient Grade, Immortal Grade, Heaven Grade, Celestial Grade, and God Grade.
For realms, the hierarchy is as follows: Fundamental Qi, Mortal Qi, True Qi, Earth Qi, Heaven Qi, Divine Qi, Monarch Qi, Mystic Qi, Sovereign Qi, Eternal Qi, Celestial Qi, and God Qi.
And for pills is as followed: Novice Grade, True Grade, Earth Grade, Heaven Grade, Ancient Grade, Immortal Grade, and Celestial Grade.
He used the Finger of God to render both of his roommates unconscious earlier, a showcase to its versatility that eludes most cultivators.
After cleaning the impurities from his body, along with the minor residue that landed on his bed, he proceeded to take a shower to entirely eliminate any lingering odor.
Once he got out, he put a fresh set of the sect uniform, characterized by a black robe with a dark red interior. The shoulder region featured white lines forming flames extending to the chest area, accentuated by a white silk belt signifying his status as an outer disciple.
The Jade Pill Sect maintained a treasury housing ingredients available for purchase by disciples using sect points. These points could be acquired through various means such as challenging fellow disciples, completing tasks assigned by elders, or undertaking missions listed on the mission board.
Another building within the sect offered disciples the option to rent a room equipped with a cauldron, especially for those without their own. Additionally, it served as a facility for disciples to awaken their alchemy flame.
Upon reaching a certain level of mastery, every alchemist gains the ability to awaken their unique alchemy flame, a manifestation intricately shaped by the essence of the alchemist's soul.
As an example, an individual with a history of murder might potentially awaken an alchemy flame characterized by ominous colors and a foreboding presence, the flame taking the form of a skull or something of the sort.
An alchemy flame holds significant importance for alchemists, as each flame offers unique benefits. The grade hierarchy for alchemy flames aligns with that of pills, where a higher grade signifies a superior alchemy flame with better benefits.
In the primordial realm, Tang Yun was one of three alchemists who awakened a Celestial Grade alchemy flame. However, the other two alchemists with Celestial Grade flames informed Tang Yun that his flame surpassed the typical power associated with Celestial Grade.
They believed it was a grade higher than Celestial Grade. In these types of situations, if a cultivator achieves a grade or realm higher than the last known one, they can name the new one, but Tang Yun didn't want to name the new grade as it didn't matter to him.
As Tang Yun strolled towards the building to awaken his alchemy flame, nearby female disciples engaged in hushed conversations among themselves.
"Who is that?"
"I'm not certain; I would undoubtedly remember someone as handsome as him."
"Wait, look at his hair color! There's only one person in this sect with long white hair, and that's Tang Yun!"
"No way! It can't be! I've seen him countless times; he was never this good looking!"
Removing all the impurities from his body not only bestowed upon him a perfect physique but also led to the reconstruction of his face, enhancing his appearance several fold.
His primary concern wasn't the change in his appearance; rather, he valued the perfect physique it bestowed upon him, which would greatly aid him in his cultivation.
Upon entering the building, an elder seated at the front desk, serving as the receptionist, addressed him, "What's your name?"
"Tang Yun," he replied, surprising the elder.
Squinting her eyes, she scrutinized Tang Yun, and upon recognizing his distinctive white hair, she pondered to herself, 'Tang Yun is the only disciple with white hair, but he was never this handsome.'
"A cauldron room costs five points per hour. How long do you plan on renting a room?" She asked, but Tang Yun shook his head.
"I'm here to awaken my alchemy flame," Tang Yun said, which caused the elder to chuckle.
She chuckled, initially perceiving Tang Yun's words as a joke, but as she gazed upon his serious countenance, the chuckles faded away, realizing he was earnest about awakening his alchemy flame.
The elder raised a skeptical eyebrow. "It's been a millennium since any alchemist in our sect has successfully awakened an alchemy flame. Not even the patriarch, the most skilled alchemist in the western continent, has achieved it. And here you are, stuck at the first stage of the Fundamental Qi Realm, struggling with basic alchemical tasks, claiming you want to awaken your alchemy flame?"
While she held the belief that people could change and develop skills beyond cultivation, she struggled to extend that belief to Tang Yun, given his current state.
He displayed a lack of talent in various areas—be it cultivation, alchemy, zither, or art. Even Attempts to involve him in ordinary mortal activities proved equally challenging for him.
In her eyes, Tang Yun resembled a child trapped within a teenager's body.
