Chapter 9 Want Grandsons not Sons_1

"Mom, Gua Gua is a dog…"

And it's a Teddy at that; even without the medicine, a Teddy is not famous for no reason.

Claudia Ross had a full head of black lines.

Is this really her own mother?

She suddenly felt a bit of sympathy for Wyatt Perry.

Giving their own son medicine to test on a dog, only Mrs. Perry would do such a thing.

Mrs. Perry defended herself righteously, "What's wrong with a dog? You can't be speciesist. Dogs are mammals too; they have hearts, livers, spleens, stomachs, and kidneys—we all have the same organs, humans evolved from monkeys anyway!"

"Fine, Mom, you win."

Claudia Ross served a bowl of chicken soup and carried it outside.

Even though the chicken soup was fragrant and delicious, looking at Wyatt Perry's stern face, she lost all appetite.

Poor Wyatt Perry, being schemed against by his own mother—he really had it rough.

As Claudia Ross found herself staring at him, she was abruptly glared at, causing a twinge in her chest, and she hurriedly bowed her head to drink the soup.

After Wyatt Perry finished one bowl, Mrs. Perry served him another.

The moment he showed signs of refusal, Mrs. Perry would start to squeeze out tears.

Wyatt Perry had no choice but to drink another bowl with a hard scalp.

As the piping hot chicken soup went down, Wyatt Perry began to feel hot all over and started to sweat.

Seeing Wyatt Perry's cheeks redden and his breathing deepen, Claudia Ross knew the medicine was taking effect.

He was like this that night too, with his heavy breath on her face, causing a ticklish, numbing sensation.

Her hand gripping the chopsticks unconsciously clenched tighter, her palms full of sweat.

Nervous and weak in the knees, what was she anticipating…

Not even minding the dirtiness—hopeless!

Wyatt Perry noticed the changes in his body, but didn't think in that direction, since he was already feeling quite abnormal that evening.

After finishing the second bowl of chicken soup, he stood up to leave, eager to go back to his apartment for a cold shower.

With her own desires yet unfulfilled, how could Mrs. Perry let him leave so easily?

Mrs. Perry hurriedly chased after him with a bowl of chicken soup, "Wyatt, have another bowl."

"No more." Wyatt Perry resolutely rejected.

"Come on, Mom has already served it for you… Oh my…" Mrs. Perry saw the moss by the garden and deliberately stepped on it. Her feet slipped, and she spilled all of the chicken soup on Wyatt Perry.

Wyatt Perry's expression darkened, glaring at his own mother. What exactly was she trying to do today?

"Oh dear, your clothes are all dirty now. I'm sorry, son. Mom is old now, my legs and feet aren't what they used to be. It didn't scald you, did it? Hurry upstairs for a bath and change your clothes, I really am sorry."

Mrs. Perry apologized repeatedly, and without saying anything, Wyatt Perry turned around and walked back upstairs to take a bath.

As she watched Wyatt Perry enter his room, Claudia Ross gave Mrs. Perry a thumbs-up, "Impressive, my mom!"

"Of course." Mrs. Perry posed proudly, "You should know who your mother is. Now it's your turn to go on stage. Get going; whether I can hold a grandson next year depends on your performance tonight."

When it was her turn to go on stage, Claudia Ross lost her nerve, stammering, "Mom… I'd rather not… Wyatt doesn't even like me… a twisted melon is not sweet…"

"Hurry up, once you give me a grandson, I won't need this son anymore. After that, everything of the Perrys will belong to your son."

"Mom…"

When enticement failed, Mrs. Perry began to play the emotional card, "Claudia, are you going to just watch me be bullied by that cheap woman with the surname Xu in the future? The Perry's belongings can't fall into her hands. Claudia, I'm begging you, give me a grandson to secure the Perry's estate."
