Wyatt Perry said to Claudia Ross, "I can't lift my arm, go get me a glass of water."
His shoulder blade still throbbed with pain, but he was far from incapacitated; he didn't want to miss this perfect opportunity to garner Claudia Ross's sympathy.
Claudia Ross asked with concern, "What's wrong with your arm?"
"I hurt it when I fell."
"Then you should hurry to the hospital."
"No need for a hospital, I just need some rest. Please pour me a glass of water!"
"Okay."
Not only did Claudia Ross go pour water for Wyatt Perry, but she even fed it to him.
At lunch, she also fed him bite by bite.
Wyatt Perry lay in bed like a lord, basking in Claudia Ross's care, the feeling so delightful it was almost effervescent.
He lay his head on Claudia Ross's shoulder and murmured, "Should we stay here for the New Year or go back home for it?"
Time flew by, and in just over ten days, it would be the New Year.
