Wendy had been much more polite while speaking earlier, but now her arrogance seeped into her tone without her realizing it.
Claudia Ross, holding back a smile, said seriously, "Miss Barton, please wait a moment, I'll put Mr. Perry on the line right now. You can make an appointment with him directly, I believe he's been anxious to see you."
"Then thank you very much!"
"You're welcome."
Claudia was using a cordless phone, and she walked into Wyatt Perry's office with the handset, deliberately speaking loudly, "Mr. Perry, your wife's classmate, Miss Barton, has something very important to discuss with you."
As she spoke, she placed the handset on Wyatt Perry's desk and then turned on the speakerphone.
Wyatt Perry looked at Claudia, not sure what game she was playing, and responded in a low voice, "Miss Barton, how are you."
"Mr. Perry, I have something very important to tell you in person, do you have time?"
