Mark Reed saw that Claudia Ross seemed to radiate and shine, with even her facial expressions coming to life.
But when he looked at Nana Monty, it was no different from looking at any other person.
She didn't receive special treatment for being his girlfriend.
Genuine feelings can't be faked.
When Claudia Ross saw Mark Reed again, she smiled awkwardly, "I'm here to find Nana. Have you finished work? Can we go now?"
As she spoke, she walked over to Nana Monty and took her hand.
Nana Monty leaned toward Claudia Ross and said in a polite yet distant tone, "Mr. Reed, no need to work overtime tonight. I'm off now, goodbye."
Without waiting for Mark Reed to speak, Nana Monty quickly left with Claudia Ross in tow.
Her face was tight, every nerve stretched to extreme tension, for fear that walking any slower might change her mind.
"Claudia…"
Mark Reed called out.
