Wyatt Perry shook his head: "There's no need to hire a lawyer anymore."
"Why?" Claudia Ross asked in surprise.
"General Maguire has already confessed. Now we are just waiting for the trial and sentencing."
"Ah?"
Claudia Ross sighed. General Maguire was indeed a man of integrity, confessing so quickly. The lawsuit could still be fought, with a good lawyer, it might even be possible to argue it as manslaughter, which would significantly lessen the sentence.
"However, there's still a chance to turn things around."
When Wyatt said that, Claudia perked up.
"How can we turn it around?"
"We need to find the victim from back then, understand the situation at the time. If the victim is willing to come forward, there is hope. It's just that it's been twenty years, and after the incident, the victim and their family moved away. It's not going to be easy to find them."
"Wyatt, I believe in your abilities, and you must help General Maguire."
