Chapter 20: Singing A Song

"Don't!" Hu Jiuli hugged the guqin to her chest, giving Qin Tian a reproachful look. As a millennium-old spirit beast, she naturally could see through Qin Tian's antics, which he was performing for her benefit.

"I'll take it okay?" she said.

"That's more like it." Qin Tian nodded, wearing a triumphant smile.

Although this was a Great Emperor's treasure, extremely rare even in the Great Thousand Dao Domain, he didn't feel any attachment to it. He wasn't lying when he said Hu Jiuli was much more precious to him than any treasure. Besides, it's true that it wasn't suitable for him. Both practically and aesthetically.

Even if there were more treasures in the future, he would give them to his women. After all, the women he had his eye on were all extraordinary, either talented individuals or destined for greatness. Just take Wu Bingchan, for example. According to the information given by the system, she was destined to become the queen of the entire Great Thousand Dao Domains' spirit beast race in the future.

Not to mention other women, even if they're not the main heroines, they're all extraordinary individuals. Hu Jiuli is one of them.

Think about the future, leading a large group of extremely talented, extremely beautiful women, all destined for greatness... the image is simply exhilarating. When encountering the protagonists in the future, he won't even need to lift a finger. He can just call on his wives, and they can take care of them easily.

"I don't even know what to say to you anymore. You're just a spendthrift," Hu Jiuli said, holding the guqin, her words blaming, but her face was smiling happily.

"How did giving something to my woman made me become a spendthrift?"

"Pah," Hu Jiuli spat lightly at him and said, "Who said I'm your woman? I never agreed to be your woman."

For some reason, the better Qin Tian treated her, the more troubled she felt. But strangely, she didn't dislike this kind of trouble. Instead, deep down in her heart, there was a sense of excitement from doing forbidden things. It felt absurd, even to herself. Could it be that she was that kind of bad woman?

'Is it because the lecherous blood of the Nine-Tailed Enchantress Fox within me is starting to resurge? Yes, that must be it. It's all because of the lecherous blood's fault. I'm not a bad woman.' Hu Jiuli comforted herself inwardly.

"Could you play a piece for me?" Hu Jiuli said whimsically.

As soon as she said it, she regretted it. She was about to say forget it when Qin Tian stepped forward, took the guqin from her arms, and said, "Since Jiuli has spoken, I will naturally satisfy you."

He sat cross-legged on the ground, placing the guqin in front of him. After pondering for a moment, he had an idea. Without saying much, he plucked the strings with his fingers, producing a melodious and pure sound.

Qin Tian glanced at Hu Jiuli and, following the melody, began to sing. His voice was clean and ethereal.

There was a beauty, unforgettable in every way,

Her image haunts me every single day.

Like a phoenix soaring, high and free,

Across the seas, she's the one I long to see.

Her absence drives me to madness, it's true,

Thoughts of her, in everything I do.

With the guqin's sound, my heart I express,

Hoping soon, my longing she'll address.

The song, like weeping and lamenting, filled with sorrow and melancholy, drew Hu Jiuli into a poignant love story. Qin Tian's sincere voice pierced through her eardrums, entering her heart.

Her expression began to grow complex; she stood there motionless, completely captivated by this melody.

As the sound of the guqin ceased, the song came to an end.

By the edge of the Spirit Lake, it seemed as if the echoes lingered, enveloping them in a moment of silence, neither speaking.

Drip-drop~

A drop of water fell, and only then did she snap out of that wondrous feeling, touching her face to find it dampened by the flowing water.

She stared at the man before her, resolute. "What is the name of this piece? How have I never heard it before?"

"It's normal that you haven't heard it," Qin Tian placed the guqin aside, walking towards Hu Jiuli, reaching out to embrace her. This time, Hu Jiuli offered no resistance, quietly settling into the embrace of this young man.

"Because this is a piece I wrote for you. I gave it a name, 'Seeking The Phoenix,'" Qin Tian explained.

"Seeking The Phoenix,'" she murmured softly. She looked up at Qin Tian, her beautiful eyes shimmering. "Is it worth it? We've only known each other for a few days, yet you've already given me a precious guqin and composed a piece for me. Are you that eager for my body?"

"No," Qin Tian lifted her chin gently. "You're mistaken. I don't just desire your body; I also desire your love. And…you're worth it."

With that said, he kissed her again. Hu Jiuli looked deeply into Qin Tian's eyes, then closed her own and leaned her head forward.

"Did you like it?" After a while of lingering, Qin Tian licked Hu Jiuli's lips lightly, tasting her creamy sweetness and asked.

"Hmm," Hu Jiuli nodded while lying in Qin Tian's arms.

"Then, can I play it for you every day from now on?" Qin Tian asked again.

"Yes... No," Hu Jiuli nodded first, then shook her head abruptly as she realized her reaction.

"Yes, or no?" Qin Tian brought his face closer, locking eyes with her.

Hu Jiuli pursed her lips, her gaze darting around, unable to meet Qin Tian's gaze directly. She herself didn't know what she wanted.

"If you don't speak, I'll take it as a yes," Qin Tian didn't wait for her answer, making the decision for her.

Hu Jiuli looked deeply at Qin Tian, then removed the coat, revealing her breathtakingly perfect body to him. She embraced Qin Tian and said, "Do whatever you want with me tonight, then take Bingchan and leave this place. Just treat her well."

"Don't talk nonsense. I don't just want your body; I want you to be my woman. You'll come with us," Qin Tian said with a hint of anger, patting her pert buttocks lightly.

"But I..." She wanted to say something else, but the words couldn't leave her mouth. She wanted Qin Tian to give up on her, yet she also yearned for him deeply. The conflicting emotions inside her made it impossible for her to speak out.

Just then, a female voice came from behind. "Mother, who are you talking to?"

Hearing the voice, Hu Jiuli's body trembled as if pricked by a needle. She pushed Qin Tian away abruptly, hurriedly packed up the guqin, and then teleported to the shore of the lake. With a wave of her jade hand, she was already wearing a long pink robe. The robe covered her ankles tightly, as well as her neck and arms. However, droplets of water still adorned her pink hair.

Qin Tian watched as Hu Jiuli's magnificent figure was concealed by the robe, a hint of regret and reluctance flashing in his eyes.

Seeing the expression in Qin Tian's eyes, Hu Jiuli couldn't help feeling annoyed. At this moment, he was still lamenting not being able to see her body. She couldn't help but roll her eyes at Qin Tian. She suppressed the turmoil in her heart and tidied up her messy hair before turning her head towards the wooden house.

Coincidentally, the door of the wooden house opened, and Wu Bingchan appeared wearing a cute pink nightgown. She peeked out from behind the door, her hair disheveled, rubbing her eyes with her small hands, looking sleepy as she gazed towards them.

"Mother, what are you doing outside? It's so noisy," Wu Bingchan said casually, feeling comfortable and relaxed in her own home.

"Young master Qin has just returned," Hu Jiuli replied.

Wu Bingchan was first stunned, then instantly energized. She looked towards her mother and indeed saw Qin Tian smiling at her.

"Young master, you're finally back!" Without further ado, Wu Bingchan ran straight towards Qin Tian and threw herself into his arms, hugging him tightly, as if afraid that Qin Tian would run away.

This is how first-time lovers are. A day apart feels like an eternity, and all they think about is each other. It's as if they feel incomplete without seeing each other. Of course, while Wu Bingchan was thinking about Qin Tian, Qin Tian, this scum was thinking about her mother.

Feeling the pressure on his chest, soft and fragrant, Qin Tian could only think that she truly was Hu Jiuli's daughter. Although not as large as her mother's, they were still quite substantial. This mother-daughter pair of big-breasted women were truly treasures given to him by heavens.

"It's only been a few days but look at you…" Qin Tian chuckled as he ruffled her hair.

"Yeah, but I don't know why, I miss you a lot. When I can't see you, I feel empty inside," Wu Bingchan buried her head in Qin Tian's chest and said softly.

"I feel the same way. But there are things that need to be done, and temporary separation is for a longer-lasting togetherness. You have to understand this," Qin Tian explained.

"Separation is for us to be together in the future?" Wu Bingchan repeated softly, a determined glint in her eyes.

Qin Tian was a dragon in skies, with an unattainably high status. To stand by his side and become the woman behind him was not an easy task. Even if Qin Tian himself didn't mind, there would inevitably be others who would gossip behind their backs.

Wu Bingchan was unwilling to be just a decorative vase. She knew that Qin Tian would have many women in the future, and she was prepared for it. It wasn't realistic to think that a man like Qin Tian would marry only her. So she aimed to become even better, even stronger, strong enough to help Qin Tian and make herself more important to him!

On the side, Hu Jiuli watched as Qin Tian and her daughter cuddled together, whispering sweet nothings. It felt strange to her; just a moment ago, she was the one being held in his arms, but now she had to hide away her feeling and act like a senior giving blessing to younglings.

She shook her head inwardly, but she couldn't suppress the feeling. As she looked at Qin Tian's back, she remembered the moments they had shared. She seemed to be yearning for something, but she couldn't admit it, because Qin Tian was her daughter's husband.

Sensing Hu Jiuli's somewhat resentful gaze, Qin Tian smirked and flashed her a teasing smile. Hu Jiuli's face turned red in embarrassment, and her expression became awkward.

"Mother, why is your face so red?" Wu Bingchan's puzzled voice came.

"It's nothing. You two chat. I'll go do something," Hu Jiuli said hastily before escaping.

"Jiuli, I'll come back later for my clothes," Qin Tian called out to Jiuli's retreating figure, but Jiuli just paused for a moment without turning back and continued into the wooden house.

"What clothes?" Wu Bingchan asked curiously.

"Oh, it's nothing. I've been out these past few days and some of my clothes got dirty, so I asked Jiuli to take them for washing," Qin Tian casually made up an excuse and then changed the subject. "By the way, I brought something back for you, Bingchan. Take a look," Qin Tian said as he retrieved an incredibly vibrant flower from his storage space and handed it to Wu Bingchan.

"What's this? Can I eat it?" Wu Bingchan blinked, looking at Qin Tian curiously.

"Why are you always thinking about eating?" Qin Tian teased as he lifted Wu Bingchan up and pinched her elastic buttocks, pretending to scold her but his tone carrying a hint of indulgence.

"Eat more to get plump, grow a bigger chest, and then I'll be even more liked by young master," Wu Bingchan pouted resentfully, recalling the times she had seen Qin Tian staring at her mother's chest.

"Yours are already big enough. They'll grow even bigger as you continue to develop," Qin Tian chuckled as his hand slipped into Wu Bingchan's clothes, squeezing her chest.

Wu Bingchan squinted her eyes, seemingly enjoying Qin Tian's touch. Holding the flower in her hand, she asked, "Young master, what exactly is this flower? Can you tell me?"
