The Elite

After a sudden fight with the mysterious girl It's 8 AM in the morning after the sudden attack, Lania just arrived at the Elite Team HQ, where they have scheduled a meeting.

Throughout the office there is a picture of 8 people including her, every morning before Lania starts her day, she always looks at the pictures and an honor for them who have fallen.

"Lania! To the meeting room!" A man's voice calling her name.

"Wait!!!!"

As she enters the meeting room there were 5 people already on their seats including the man that called Lania before.

There is a long square table with 2 seats each side and 1 seat in the front middle for the first commander usually sits

At the right side of the table there are 2 members, one of them is Major Jack Hover, code name Starfall. Wearing a black tactical gear vest and a beret hat. Possess a masculine figure, he is the elite team tactic specialist and responsible for leading a squad for various missions.

The other is a girl named Estelle Liza, code name Startrace. A medium short girl with short dark ashen hair, wearing a black military suit equipped with a pistol strapped on her hips. Wearing hi-tech watch facilitates as a small screen. Her flat expressions make her hard to get close for the other team members although she is the team center of information and communication.

At the left side at the last seat is Howard Flint, code name Starline. A man with black short hair, wearing a black tactical suit vest equipped with non-lethal electric lazer guns and knife. His cold and sadistic personality is way off from his responsibility.

And Lania Kanashima, code name Starlight II. She continues the name after Kanna Meguma's betrayal. Medium short girl, red long hair with purple eye.

Lastly the commander herself. The high General of X.A.G Military, Vanny Takahashi. Code name, Supernova II. Also nicknamed the Cold-Blooded Princess. As her nickname suggest she earned from the age of 15 when she slayed 3.000 soldiers of enemy troops during a war of Eastern Eutophia 3 years ago. Making her the most feared personnel in the entire X.A.G military organizations besides being the granddaughter of the founder. She is medium short, about height as Lania, long braided yellow hair and wear a formal military suit.

"Since everyone's here, let's begin." Vanny said in a very serious tone. The windows are closed making the room can be seen from outside. The room soundproofing allowed no voice to enter or leak.

"Starfall, start from you." The commander points him,

Jack opens his files—clearing his throat,

"As instructed, yesterday we managed to infiltrate the S.I.N base in the northern city, luckily no one was killed in the operation, though many of my man were injured. We also captured the leading scientists for the 'Bio-weapon'. He flips the file, "During the interrogation prosses this man says his name Kojuro, reveal the newest secret of the development of bio-weapon they called 'Tyrant'."

"No sign of Kanna? Did we get the wrong intel?" Vanny muttered

"She got away; she knows our arrival. On their record of the security, she leaves about 10 minutes before we attacked the base."

 Vanny become frustrated by the fact Kanna can get away from the attack, "However, I assume they Kojuro also provided us enough information about their newest monsters."

 "Right, after digging some info, 'Tyrant' is actually a hybrid human that given a serum extracted from Chaosits bone-marrow. It effects the person became so powerful beyond their initial strength, disfigures the anatomy, just like a human with a horns and tails. As today, the –thing, can be controlled by someone who also took another type of serum."

Everyone in the room feel uneasy, never thought that S.I.N progresses begin to show a promising result. Showing them, they are in a susceptible situation.

"Things are going better and better… I hope we have something good from the academy." Howard said, his cold nature making everyone exchanges uncomfortable gaze.

"Using the reincarnated ancient warrior is inevitable…" Liza mumbled,

The room filled with muttered, but in other hand Lania eyes looking down at the empty table, she is spacing out from the conversation unintentionally

"Lani?" Liza poked her shoulder, bring her soul back into her body,

"Ah… What is it, Lili?" she awkwardly reacted,

 "You look so— is unusual to see you keep silent, is that something happened?" she asked,

 "N-No, nothing… I just thinking about the academy…"

 Vanny gazed at Lania, as she like signals something to her.

"Ahhh…" Lania suddenly shouted, silencing the entire room, "Commander, may I?"

Vanny nodded,

Lania opens her files,

"After observed the academy, I believe the academy will giving us a promising result. Yesterday, Mrs. Bella give me some of the student's data, includes the data of several student that currently inherited the ancient warrior power."

Lania pressed a button on her laptop suddenly a big screen showed the data of the students,

"As you see, there is 5 people on the list, Ai Minase, Azusa Azaki, Sanna Meguma, Asahi Fukasawa and… Takaya Takahashi."

"Heeeeee!!! Aka?? Why??? Did he tell us he would never go to the academy???" Liza stunned by the fact that Takaya decides to joins the academy,

"Hehe… I'm also thrilled, but it is what it is… He came to the academy. Followed the academy rules. Although I know he up to something else that only gods know what it is-"

"Lania."

Vanny gazed at her in furious eyes,

"What are you two doing… on the eastern base last night?"

Lania shivers after Vanny asked about what happened last night. As she already knows that such of information will reaches the commander's ears, but she didn't expect she brought it in the middle of the meeting,

"Umm… Takaya asked me to take him there. He wants to see the president himself-"

"Why is he ending up in the base medical room?"

Everyone shocked, as the question begins to stabbing Lania directly without warning,

"We… we're attacked… by 'Devil'"

"Wh-"

"Devil?"

"That is…"

Liza, Jack and Howard reacted at the same time.

"He approaches her by himself, switching off the communication. When I arrived at the scene, I see her talking with Takaya. I see try to take her down, but it backfires me, and nearly killed by her if Takaya didn't protect me with his 'power'…"

Vanny widened her eyes, as she catches Lania story,

"He once again awakens his power…" her eyes shaken, complicated by the situation,

"How is he doing now?"

"He discharged the moment he awakes… We headed to the city as soon as possible."

Vanny shows a relief expression,

"Pfftt-"

"Hahahaha" Jack loudly laughed.

Everyone suddenly laughed. In the other hand Vanny looks away holding closing her mouth with her hands,

"Eh…" Lania look at each people, confused.

"Lani… Commander is teasing you since you are not coming on our last mission." Liza said while also holding her laugh.

"Eh… Commander!" She hollered, angrier by the rest of the team.

"Sorry, It the best way to tell you to not spacing out on the meeting." Vanny's cheek red as a cherry, couldn't hold anymore of joyful laugh,

"But I was shocked to death when I know about 'Devil' seems like she is now showing her face."

Of course, everyone might question the same thing, since they also given a mission to bring the remaining Ancient Warriors.

"Takaya said that she searching for someone. For some reason Takaya feels that might someone that very important to her."

Troubled by the question, Vanny stands and walked near the screen look for specific person on the list,

 "To think that the headmaster's daughter is the one of them… How surprising." Vanny muttered,

"Asahi Fukasawa… The most mysterious person in the world. Suddenly appears, suddenly being someone important…" Jack said, in the manner of disgust.

"Well, no matter what we must protect her… Since she is the one of the unique one than the other…"

She touches the screen, make it focus on Asahi's data,

"It seems she has the power of the first reincarnated warrior back then… Divine Power."

The room becomes silent. Vanny turn to her seats, painted uneasy expression on her face so suddenly.

"Divine Power… The power of gods. Where no power can overcome. Apparently only 3 existing known power, Light the holy, Darkness the Lights companion, and Hell the unholy power." Liza said.

"They only depicted as they were written on the story. It does not mean they are bad." Vanny said, as she gazed at Lania, "It is good thing we spotted the third one before S.I.N."

Vanny deeply sighed, some form of a relief. As the rest of the team exchange gaze once again.

"Lania. Since your mission is now supervising the students, I want you to stay at Takaya's place. Since S.I.N is already on their move to pursue the Ancient Warrior. It will be easier to act when you're close with them. As the rest of the team will stand-by waiting for orders from director. I'll report everything to them after the meeting." Vanny issue the order.

The blinds on the room gradually moving up, let the sun glares ont the room. As the team leaving the meeting room, Lania stay's, looking at her most precious friend,

"Vanny… Are you okay?" she said.

Vanny looked at the blue skies outside of the window, her skin lighted by the light from the sun, it warms her, comfort her.

"I'm okay… You should worry about yourself, Lania."

"I'm fine! I already used to our activity!" Lania cheerly reaction bring a smile at Vanny's face.

"I know I'm not supposed to tell you about this. But, don't you think it is about time you go home, show your face to them… Also— see 'her'. Its been 4 years… They're missing you…" Lania said.

Vanny looked down, as she frustrated by Lania's word.

"I'll think about it. While you staying with them, please look after them for me…"

Lania stand, going towards the door.

"Since I'm not here for looking after you. Don't be an idiot. If you over used-"

"I know. Metal head."

Vanny said as the two of them looking at each other, sneered.
