As they walked towards the shed, in one of the carriages, Calista watched as men and women alighted from the carriage. Judging from the way they were dressed and the color tone, they reminded her of something; the slaves.

"Are they slaves?" Calista asked directly as she watched these people being led to where they were.

Diana nodded as she looked at the incoming group and replied, "Um. These are people I bought with my parents' help. They are all professionals with knowledge regarding the project that you are doing!" providing more details on the issue.

When Calista heard that, she was tongue-tied for a moment. She wasn't expecting to hear something like that at all. To even think that Diana would go out of the way to find people for her was unexpected.

At the same time, she couldn't help but wonder what her motives were for doing this. After all, there was no such thing as free meals.
