Chapter 3

When I woke up I found myself in a dark damp room. The sound of dripping water hitting against the rotting wooden pallets that made up the floor. The moonlight filtered into the room as I fell off the bed. I ripped off the needles and tube attached to my skin. As I cried in pain. My body felt heavy like a pile of bricks.

When I had finally managed to stand up using the dirty bed I once laid on to give support to my wobbling noodle legs. I looked around the dark room as my eyes adjusted. What met me as dozens of hanging dead bodies. I immediately jumped back banging my head against the wall. My heart was pounding against my chest like a drum.

I tried to take deep breaths but I was in a state of panic and suddenly I felt familiar hands hold me. When I turned back I saw Miss Lilith and kira. They managed to comfort me. I looked towards the reflection as what looked back at me was horrific. I …saw myself a rotting corpse, my jaw melting off. My eyes were dead and lifeless. My body was filled with maggots. Crawling out my dark empty eye socket. I screamed looking back at myself. I rubbed my face.

Lillths voice echoed not from behind but from my head as she shushed me. The mirror still showed that horrid image not only on me but also on Kira and Lillith. "Shh my dear child shhh…. You need to be a strong boy ….ok..me and Kira need you to be a strong boy can you do that? ."

she asked as she held my chin making me look at her not at the mirror. "My dear …. She said before a moment of silence. Please stay strong ok i'm going to show you the truth ok." She uttered as her voice broke. Both Miss Lillith and Kira both became the rotting corpses I saw in the mirror.

"My dear child please stay calm ok ….. we are ghosts forced to wander this cursed lab where many before you have died violent deaths. Including me and Kira" She said with pain, regret and fear all shown in her soulless eyes. I froze almost instantly as they knew they had said there was a lot to take in.

My mind was foggy filled with fear as they both snapped their fingers returning to their normal self. Kira was the first to break the silence as she hugged me, keeping me calm as I sobbed. Please brother,.....please free us from this pain.

With that world I weakly got up as tears flooded my eyes. Both Lillth and Kira would lead me out of the lab to the cherry blossom tree that seemed all too familiar. Hanging on the branches were bones of those long before my time who had met their fate. The slight wind swayed the bones left to right as I dropped to my knees seeing …. The 8corpses of all the people I saw in that nightmare.

On the branch furthest to the left was a pair of bones clinging to each other. My heart pounded against my chest as my eyes recognized the hood, reddish black cloak and bone mask still attached. My wobbly legs gave way as my stomach twisted in knots. Behind me were all the spirits of these hanging on the tree. A faith I would have suffered.

If lilith didn't help wake me from the nightmare. With tears in my eyes I looked back to see countless spirits all wandering. In the far back I saw Lillith and Kira who held each other's hand as they both teared up. I would weakly stumble my way around into the lab looking for anything flammable. To no avail I found only matches.

I came back out with an idea. The Shadow blade that was marked too my wrist would materialise as I slit my palm dripping blood as I yanked and pulled the skeletons off the tree setting them down nicely. Few hours would pass as I dripped litres and litres of blood. On the skeletons. With trembling and shaking hands I lit the match stick.

Dropping it on the Demon blood. A wave of potent demon energy mixed and burst through with black flames erupting. Freeing the lost and wandering souls trapped here. Kira and Lilith would be the last ones to leave. As for one final time I felt thier warm embrace.

With their souls becoming pure white light disappearing into the path of light created by the moon. I cried. "My dear child and little brother please don't be sad, we are free now. We leave you our most precious possessions. I leave you my hooded cloak and shadow blade that once brought kings of gods and demons to their knees." Lillth said "and i leave you my cool bone mask that covers your mouth it super cool" Kira chimed in.

"I know I'm long past the time when you both walked his earth. I just wish I could've seen you back then. May you both rest in peace " I said as I kneeled on my wobbling knees. "The day you become the child you once talked to us in your dreams. The day you make Heaven and hell kneel to you is the day heaven,hell and the afterlife will cry as it rains on earth once and for all to see."With that they had disappeared.

I would be in a kingdom called Allora filled to the brim in nightlife. As citizens brushed their way ass stalls that lingered with the scent of spice and lavender. Some father's/husbands/siblings bought roses for their wife's, mothers or sisters for all I knew. My hands trembled and shook as the need for blood sat on my mind.

The night sky glittered with stars. One of the myths you came to believe was. The stars represented the ships of our loved ones and the rain was their tears. my mind raced with questions as my eyes pierced into the distance of the king's castle. Would my mother chase me like in my dream? What should I do? Because my supposed identity is Sebastian's my half brother.

With knots in my stomach I gathered courage and headed to the grandiose castle. Hehe windows were stained glass. The bent race was huge, spanning the size of two cottages. The closer and closer I got , the more my mind became insecure. I reached out and knocked the door only to be met with silence as a few guards answered.

"You there! Stranger state your business with the royal family." a guard yelled from a Stone bell balconies high up. I yelled back I'm here to see a woman named Miss Elise bloodrose. As the words got stuck and didn't seem to wanna come out of my throat.
