Chapter 20 : Sacred Space

*Morgan*

Shane is wearing a green shirt, and it brings out the light colors in his eyes. Damn it, this is the best he’s ever looked, and that’s saying something. We’re sitting in the living room, and I surprisingly feel comfortable on the same couch as Shane, chatting with some of the pack. His knee is so close to mine, and it’s driving me wild.

After our almost kiss in the study, my heart starts to beat so fast whenever I see him. It’s hard to resist kissing him when I already know that his lips feel like heaven…

Damn it, Morgan! There I go daydreaming again. I scold myself and pay attention to the conversation that’s happening around me.

“Right, so there Shane and I are, covered in mud and with his mother's favorite set of pearls, and Catherine comes out with a wooden spoon and the most fierce expression I’ve ever seen on someone’s face,” Cain says.

He’s telling a story from his childhood with Shane.
