*Morgan*
When he realizes his pack is in trouble, Shane immediately springs into action. He turns to me and grips my shoulders.
“Stay here. Please take care of Reginald. Stay safe,” Shane declares, then sprints out of the room.
Anxiety blooms inside me, and my head whips around, looking for the monster hunter. Then, I glance down at Reginald, who’s lying sprawled out on the floor with his eyes closed. The healer inside me takes over, and I focus on caring for the elder who hates me. I kneel beside him.
“Reginald, you have to tell me what happened to you. That’s the only way I can make you feel better,” I say to him, gently shaking him awake.
He opens his hark eyes and stares at me through half-open lids.
“I don’t know exactly what happened, but my stomach is in excruciating pain. Please, help me, Morgan. Do you have a potion that can heal me?” Reginald asks in a weak voice.
