Identity of the masked man

Everyone rushed to the living hall, where Millie was holding her head in her hands with Jeanne looking at her with contempt and frustration. Seeing the poor girl tremble and whimper, Kaylyn rushed over and hugged the shivering woman.

"What are you doing, Jean?" she asked. It was bad enough that she was worried about her daughter, who hadn't returned home without Jeanne causing trouble.

Jeanne's expression turned affronted and she exclaimed, "What do you mean? Do you think that I have done something wrong? I didn't even say a word to this girl and she started screaming all of a sudden. I—I just turned on the television. What's wrong with that?"

She then glanced at her daughter, who was shaking like a brittle leaf and shook her head. "It was a mistake to bring her out of the hospital; we should have left her there. She does better when she is living alone."
