Chapter 288 : Dragon [4]

"ROFA SHOCK OVERDRIVE 75..."

Shouted Yuta as a tremendous amount of pressure built around him, lightning crackled, golden lightning for a second blinded everyone, even the four emperor Kaido.

Then Yuta threw his punch. This punch contained all of the hard work he underwent over the last year on Whitebeard's ship. 

Crack

It felt like the punch was shifting the environmental pressure itself, and when it finally hit Kaido directly at his huge dragonified head, to his utter horror and everyone's joy—

The sky shattered... broken to the point that it seemed beyond repair. Cracks appeared visible in the air, making everyone's eyes wide in disbelief at what they were witnessing. 

"Is that...?" Nekomamushi and Inuarashi were the only people there who were aware of this particular power. They had seen it before—once, when they were young, traveling with Oden on the Whitebeard Pirate ship. 

It was fair to say that they almost had their eyes popping out of their skulls when the sky started to break down like a damn mirror.

"Isn't that..."

"How is that possible?"

Many were confused and horrified at what just happened. Few knew Yuta was capable of this. The Straws knew. Maki and Ace knew as well. 

Kaido, unfortunately, didn't.

And when that shattering punch hit him with the power of ROFA at 75, he wasn't ready. 

Kaido saw black. His vision flickered, blurred, appearing and disappearing. He felt his bones and skull getting crushed under that blasted shock ability, one he had felt not so long ago while fighting Whitebeard. 

Unimaginable pain rang inside him. He could feel it—his skull almost cracked under that attack. Perhaps it was already cracked, and he hadn't gotten the sensory data yet. 

He wished to curse. It seemed not so long ago he was doing the same with Whitebeard. However, he didn't have time. Before so much as a blink, he found himself getting weak—like all his strength had been sucked away in that attack somehow. 

Kaido was now experiencing firsthand what those three admirals did in the Summit War—the weakening effect of ROFA. This power was somehow even more effective against Devil Fruit users. 

The next second, he was rocketed down by the impact of that punch. He all but became a blur heading directly toward the sea. 

"Another thing I learned is that I should go all out from the start. It actually saves me more time," Yuta muttered with a grin.

Kaido's huge dragon body descended like a meteor on a collision route. It almost felt like it would ignite at any moment. Kaido's mind was all but blank for those few seconds—he might as well have been seeing stars if this was the real Toon Force at work. 

BOOM...

With a blast, breaking the surface tension of the water, Kaido submerged into the sea before he even knew it. The sea itself looked like it needed to bend to take the dragon inside her. 

The sound of his collision with the sea resounded all around. If the earlier dose of ROFA's last punch wasn't enough to deform him from his dragon form with the weakness sinking into his body, the seawater did the rest. 

His giant body almost instantly transformed back into his normal self—leaving him weakened, and his regeneration stopped working, forcing him to now really feel the pain wrecking his skull. 

As he descended down into the water, he found himself unable to move. However, he was able to see—and he saw a very small trail of red as he descended. He was bleeding. Minor, and that too would stop the second he got out of the sea, but he was bleeding. Him.

Kaido the Immortal. 

A rare mood spread all over him until anger came back with vengeance. He pulled all the power in his weakened body, swimming up, at least trying his best. 

While it's true that Devil Fruit users can't use their power in seawater, that's not the complete reality. In fact, seawater weakens them—to the point they can't muster any strength to use their Devil Fruit. 

This is universal for all Devil Fruits. However, those few individuals whose strength stands at the top of this sea—they can still use their Devil Fruit power even after getting weakened by the seawater or Seastone. Just because they were strong. Even the sea can't weaken them enough. 

Kaido was definitely one of those people. 

Unfortunately, as he was getting up toward the light, he saw something cast a huge shadow, completely blocking the light above him. He suddenly had a very bad feeling regarding this. His barely working Observation Haki warned him to get out of there as soon as possible. 

Unfortunately for him, he wasn't fast enough. By the time he had his head out of the water, he saw a mountain descending toward him. 

'No, not a mountain. Damn elephant.'

A mountain-sized foot of Zunesha came crashing down on top of Kaido's head, taking him to the depths of the sea once again. 

"Yup, send him to hell," Yuta had the biggest smile on his face the moment he saw Zunesha dragging that annoying emperor, drowning him in the depths of the sea. 

'Will this kill him?' Yuta pondered...

He doubted it. But this should give them enough time to get out of here, and maybe he wouldn't attack them anytime soon. 

Powering down, he used a hint of his power to go back to the Mokomo Dukedom. Also noticing everyone looking at him with awe in their eyes. None said anything for a while before the noise broke out—enough to make Yuta cover his ears with haste. 

"YES... THAT'S HOW IT FEELS...." Suddenly a shout came from the side, making a few who were close enough to this person to hear him in all the shouting, look at him in confusion.

"I'm just a huge fan of this place," Momonosuke grinned. 

Yuta on the side grumbled. At least he didn't hear the pipsqueak or else he would have high blood pressure by now. 

That's when he saw a system notification in front of him. That's when he realized he got another mission from this damn system when Kaido first appeared. This was the reason why he took so long to act—he was going through the new quest. 

That too gave him another source of motivation to kick Kaido's ass. 

Minor Quest: Protect Mink Tribe Complete.
