My Big Day

I sat at my wedding vanity, a smirk on my lips as I chatted on my phone with my mother. The room around me was filled with the buzz of preparations, but I barely noticed. My focus was on the satisfaction that radiated from my mother's laughter.

"You should see Elena, Mother. She's suffering so much. Everything is falling apart for her," I said, my voice dripping with satisfaction.

"Really? Tell me more, darling," my mother replied, her tone equally delighted.

I had explained everything to her and how I framed Elena for killing the king. I chuckled. "She's locked up in the dungeon, looking like a wreck. I made sure of it. She'll never recover from this."

My mother's laughter rang out on the other end of the line. "You always knew how to handle things, my dear. It's like watching a well-orchestrated play."

"Yes, and the best part is Dante doesn't suspect a thing. He's so blinded by his anger."
