He reached into the deep pocket of his pants and retrieved something wrapped in parchment, the gift tied neatly with a single red ribbon. 

"I visited the Rone Kingdom on business recently, and Prince Aspen toured me around a newly built city. It's quite lucrative; all of the most skilled workers live there. We even visited a seamstress together. Aspen wouldn't stop rambling about her, which was annoying, but you know how terribly we need their support in this difficult time. So, I played nice. I was able to get these for you, at least, and it made all the suffering worth it."
