Entering the Crystal

Elin pulled the crystal pendant out of where she'd stashed it. She then turned it so she could see the girl that was her. She wasn't sure what she expected to either happen or to be able to do, but she still was determined to figure out what it would take to get that girl out of the pendant.

She knew there had to be a way. That it wasn't a hopeless cause. It was just that looking at it was all that she was able to actually figure out to do.

She reached out and tried pushing her finger into it, but that merely pushed the pendant away, like it would any other pendant.

She shook the pendant, as if something might fall out. Though, even the girl inside the pendant didn't notice her world shaking as the crystal was shaken.

That was the extent that Elin was able to think to try. She wasn't sure what else there was that she could do.

However, a moment later, as the sun shifted position, it changed to where a small beam of light shone through the crystal. It created a shadow on the ground that looked larger than the crystal itself, despite how the other shadows were cast. A shadow that was also aqua-green in color.

Elin wasn't sure if her next idea would work or what she'd do if there was something that could be done, but she quickly positioned herself under that light. Under the crystal.

Part of her felt an excitement that she hadn't felt in the memories she had, but part of her felt rather nervous. As if she was about to meet her father to explain how she ended up going out of his house with no idea how it had happened in the first place.

Elin looked for a place to hang it on a tree so she wouldn't have to be always holding it for what was coming to her mind to try. As she wasn't sure if that would make a difference or not, but she didn't want to take chances.

It didn't take long for her to find a place that allowed her to do that, and she was more than happy with what she'd found. It was a branch that extended out a ways without anything blocking the rays of the sun for the length of her hand in any direction. It was also high enough that she was confident she'd be able to fit below the crystal without touching it or having to essentially lay on the ground.

Elin knelt there on the ground, not sure what might happen or what to expect. Just that it was the only thing she could think of at that time.

At first, nothing did happen. Elin wasn't sure if she should give up and maybe see if Jonas or Ember might know something when suddenly it happened.

She didn't realize it at first, but soon, her entire world was turning an aqua-green. When she finally did notice it, it was too late to do anything about it.

It felt like the crystal had grown enormous and was about to swallow her whole. Though, for some reason, Elin didn't find that thought objectionable. For one thing, she was trying to figure out how to either enter the pendant or how to get the other girl out of it.

So, as she felt herself getting pulled in, she felt she'd at least accomplished something. Although, she couldn't say what she'd do if she couldn't figure out how to leave the crystal. Especially since she was actually inside.

However, that was a concern for once she was inside it. Otherwise it wasn't like she'd be able to do anything from the outside of it.

Besides, once she was inside, then there was a chance that she'd be able to figure out how to leave. After all, it wasn't like she actually knew anything about the crystal itself. Or even what she might expect inside the crystal.

A moment after the entire world around her became a solid aqua-green, she suddenly found herself in a room. She was still wearing her dress, the room made her think of her own room in her father's house, except there weren't any doors. There was something to eat, something to drink, a table that those things were set on, a desk with some blank paper on it, a bookshelf filled with books that somehow looked familiar to Elin, a large bed that looked so inviting after having slept so long on the hard ground, and a kind of aqua-green square that Elin was standing on.

Laying on the bed, looking bored was the girl that Elin had seen. That she knew without really having spoken to her before.

As Elin moved of the aqua-green square, the other girl took notice of her.

"Elin!" she called out, rising to her feet quickly. "You've come to rescue me!"

Elin wished she could really say that's what she had planned on, but really, she was still experimenting with things at the moment.

"Uh, first, what's your name?" Elin asked, feeling like she should get a few things straight first. "And, uh, how do you know me?"

The other girl looked at Elin, like the answers should be obvious, but she answered anyway. "I'm you, so you can call me Elin too. And I know you, well, because I'm you!"

Then before Elin could react, the other Elin pulled Elin into a tight embrace, and seemed like she was enjoying the contact.

"It's been too long since I could touch someone else," she murmured in Elin's ear. "It feels so good to touch even myself like this."

Elin wasn't sure how to react, but she also couldn't deny that being alone for any length of time in this place was likely rather lonely. So, Elin returned the embrace, but quickly let go and pulled away as she felt the other Elin's hands… wander.

"What're you doing?" Elin asked, surprised at how fast her heart was racing at that moment. She didn't think it should be going that fast to begin with, even from a small touch on her bottom. Yet at the same time, it felt like it was getting ready to burst out of her chest and she even wanted more of that sensation.

"Just having fun. After all, you remember what the baker said, right?" the other Elin asked, a mischievous smile on her face.

"Uh, keep an eye on the bread so it doesn't burn?" Elin asked, confused as to what time that baker spoke to her that the other Elin was referring to. Though, she did recall her nanny telling her to not let herself end up alone with him. That he had strange appetites or something.

The other Elin merely giggled at that response. "No, when he was talking about magical clones. We were five and he wasn't talking to us. He said something about 'if you slept with a magical clone of yourself, was that incest or masturbation?'"

"Okay…" Elin said, not sure where the other Elin was going wit this, but that her heart was pounding even faster in her chest. "I remember that… but what does that have to do with you touching me… there?"

"It's about some of what Kim explained to me when we started doing it," the other Elin replied.

"Who's Kim?" Elin asked, feeling like she was missing a very important piece of the puzzle. Especially since this part seemed important for Elin to understand what the other Elin was getting at.

While Elin half-expected the other Elin to explain why it was important to remember things, like her nanny used to do to her, the other Elin merely smiled gently and put her hand on Elin's cheek.

"Don't worry. I'll show you everything Kim taught me, okay?" she said, drawing Elin into her eyes.

Elin wasn't sure what it was about, but she felt compelled to follow Elin, even as she walked towards the bed. With the only point of contact was the other Elin's hand on Elin's cheek. It almost felt like she could trust this other Elin more than she could really trust herself. Despite every fiber of her being telling her to take the other Elin and get out of there. That she didn't have much time.

However, she still felt mesmerized by the other Elin's touch. Besides, she was confident that she'd be able to leave whenever she wanted. As she had a feeling the aqua-green square thing that she'd appeared in here on was how she'd be able to get back.

When they were by the bed, the other Elin stepped forward and pressed her lips against Elin's gently, sending her heart racing to new speeds, even as she found her own hands moving across the other Elin's body. To places she was uneasy about touching on her own body, even when she knew she was alone. Yet, at that moment, touching those places on the other Elin just felt right.

Like she had waited for this moment for her entire life.

Even as their clothing was shed, Elin could only follow the other Elin's lead. Regardless of how nervous she'd felt about following the other Elin's lead in the first place.
