CHAPTER-11

"Hyung, what are you thinking about?" Hoseak asked giving Yongi a cup of tea.

"Come here," Yongi called Hoseak beckoning his finger.

Hoseak turned around and sat on Yongi's lap.

"This case seemes really tough. There isn't any significant clue. Doctor Im thinks the killer is a perfectionist," Yongi said leaning on Hoseak's shoulder.

He took a deep whiff of Hoseak's relaxing smell.

"He just smells like home and peace,"Yongi thought.

Hoseak touched Yongi's eyebrows to soothe him.

"We found about the victim's identity. Maybe we can start from there," Hoseak suggested.

"There seems to be something odd. The victim was a student of Seoul medical school and doctor Im said the killer is someone who is well educated in medicine. Also the cause of death was poison," Yongi said.

"Is there something in the notepad we found?" Hoseak asked.

"Nothing important. Just same daily entry," Yongi said.

"Hyung, don't think too much, okay. It'll be fine. We'll find something," Hoseak said.

Yongi didn't say anything. He closed his eyes and hugged his boyfriend.

Hoseak softly caressed Yongi's hairs.

The slient was broken down by the ringtone of Yongi's phone.

It was doctor Im.

"Yes, doctor Im," Yongi said.

"Captain Min,I found about the drug," doctor Im said over the phone.

"Please,tell me," Yongi said.

"It's usually known as the "Smile Poison ".

In the 1800s,many religional cult used this poison to commit mass suicide.

It is even used to make a type of drug but it's not usually poisonous.

It comes from a plant actually.

Phytochemical analysis of Oenanthe crocata, or hemlock water-dropwort, a perennial that thrives near Sardinian ponds and rivers, revealed that toxic alcohols in the plant can cause facial muscles to contract, sometimes contorting into a sinister smile.

Because of the smile, people call it "Smile Poison" or "Satan's wine"," Doctor Im said.

She was really interested in this drug. She called some toxicologists and asked for their opinion too.

Yongi heard carefully.

"Then,it shouldn't be very easy to find right," Yongi asked.

"I think so. I called some toxicologists and they all told me that it's very rare for someone to think of a poison like this to use in murder and that's why it's really hard to trace," doctor Im said.

"Ok. Thank you, doctor Im," Yongi said.

"Captain Min,did you find the relatives of the victim?" Doctor Im asked.

"Yes. Victim's uncle will come tomorrow," Yongi said.

"Oh, another thing, captain Min," doctor Im said," you remember the cut on the chest of the victim right?"

"Yes," Yongi said.

"The cut was done very accurately. It can't be done in the first time. The killer had to practice many times to have such a beautiful cut," doctor Im said.

"So, you're saying, this isn't the first time the killer killed?" Yongi asked.

"I'm not sure. Maybe the killer had done it on animals. Many psychopaths have the tendency to hurt animals before they start to hurt humen," doctor Im said.

"I understand," Yongi said.

"Ok,then. Bye," doctor Im said and cut the call.

"This thing is getting more and more complicated," Yongi sighed.
