CHAPTER-17

"So,all the victims have the same gender, are of around the same age and still students," Hoseak said.

Jungkook nodded in agreement.

"Yes. That's also similar with our victim," Yongi added.

"Another interesting fact is that three of them were orphan," Jungkook said.

"Oh my god," Jimin said with a shocked gasp.

"What about the heart? Their hearts were also missing?" Hoseak asked.

"Yeah. They also had scars on their back and the long stitch on their chest," Jungkook said and showed them some photos of the autopsy reports.

Yongi nodded thinking about something.

"What about the cause of death? Anything about the poison?" Yongi asked after a moment.

"Actually, their causes of deaths were also poison but they didn't have the same poison as our victim. They had the most common, potassium cyanide poison," Jungkook said.

"What about that creepy smile?" Jimin aksed.

He could still feel his body shivering from the creepy smile on the victim's face.

"Nothing about the smile is written here," Jungkook said.

"Well done, Jungkook-ah. Write down all the new information on the board," Yongi said.

Jungkook nodded and started to write on the white board that they had behind Yongi's desk.

"Is there anything about the suspect?" Yongi asked.

"Here, hyung," Jimin said, passing some papers to Yongi.

"Jimin-ah,walk me through it," Yongi said as he started to walk around the room.

Jimin nodded.

"The suspect's name is Shi YuiJu,32 years old male,a cardiologist by profession, working in Daegu Central Hospital for like 5years. He's actually one of the best cardiologist of Korea.

He's a widow,lost his wife 3years ago,has a 6years old daughter," Jimin said.

"Why did the police suspect him? What's his connection with the victims?" Yongi asked.

"It says,he wasn't suspect in the first murder but got involved in the second one," Jimin read out loud.

"Go on," Yongi said with a nod.

"One of the classmates of the second victim said that he saw the victim with the suspect before the day he disappeared," Jimin continued to read.

"What happened then?" Hoseak asked.

"That classmate knew who the suspect was because he was the doctor of his uncle. He saw the suspect in the hospital and when the police went to the victim's college, the young student volunteered and gave the police the information,"Jimin said.

"The police then went to meet Dr.Shi and he confirmed that he met the victim that day. When the police asked why they met or how he knew the victim, Dr.Shi said that he knew the victim's parents and wanted to find out how the victim was doing," Jimin said.

"Seems reasonable. But,why was police's evidence behind the suspension against Dr.Shi?" Yongi asked.

"Not said here properly, hyung,",Jimin replied, turning the pages and reading the lines carefully. But,he couldn't find anything about that.

"How was he connected with the other two cases?" Jungkook asked.

"It's not said here clearly," Jimin said as he continued going through the papers.

"It's okay. We can ask detective Chi," Yongi said.

"Hyung,do you know detective Chi?" Jungkook asked Yongi.

"Not personally. But I heard he is a really good detective. So it's heard to believe that he made a mistake," Yongi said.

"Well,he didn't do much in the case," Jungkook said, still reading the papers.

"Why are you saying that?" Yongi asked.

"It says here that Shi YuiJu confessed himself but there is actually no solid evidence against him," Jungkook said.

"Why would he confess by himself? He is a renowned cardiologist. He had lost not only his reputation but also his money. Why would he do something to himself if he is not that murder?" Jimin aksed.

"Maybe to take credit," Yongi suggested.

The frown of his eyebrows got more deeper.

"He's a psychopath. He likes to show off," Jungkook said.

"Then,it is possible that maybe he is not the killer at all," Hoseak said.

"Maybe or maybe not," Yongi said,"and, our job to find out."
