CHAPTER-20

"He confessed by himself?" Jungkook asked.

He was surprised actually.

Because,a genius person like Shi YuiJun,even if he was the murder, could know about just how little evidence the police had against him.

"Yes. We only had him as a primary suspect. When he first confessed,we thought he wanted to take credit but he provided all evidence," Detective Chi explained.

He and his team was thrown aback by the confession too.

They were thinking about various ways to find this crazy killer when they got this confession suddenly.

Detective Chi had his suspicion about Shi YuiJun being the killer but the higher ups were happy about the confession so Detective Chi had to wrap up the case and sent it to the DA's office.

"Interesting," Jungkook whispered to himself.

Shi YuiJun confessing meant he was not the killer. Then what made Shi YuiJun confess and take the fall?

"What evidence did he provide?" Yongi asked.

"The place of murder, the poison, then the ropes and knives. He gave us several addressees and we went there and found about the drugs and poison that was used for the murders and also other things,"Detective Chi said.

"They found DNA of all of the three victims on those things," Taehyung added.

Detective Chi nodded.

"What about the hearts?" Jungkook asked.

Right now, Jungkook was trying to shut his brain down and to just get all the information available. It was too early to think about anything.

"We have no idea," detective Chi said with shrug.

He wanted to find the hearts and went to question Shi YuiJun about them multiple times. He thought that was the least thing he could do for the victims.

"You asked him about the hearts?" Yongi asked.

Detective Chi nodded.

"He didn't tell me anything about those hearts," the dejection in the detective's voice made Yongi not to question about it further.

"What was his connection with the victims?" Jungkook asked.

"He said they're all his lover," Detective Chi replied.

"Lover?" Yongi asked.

"Yes,Shi YuiJu first made all the victims fall in love with him, then took them out and killed them," Detective Chi said.

"Why them? What was his catagory for hunting?" Yongi asked.

"He didn't say anything but I think all the victims were orphan so it was easy to lure them," Detective Chi said.

"It's really confusing," Yongi said.

But Detective Chi didn't say anything.

"What about the victim's bodies?" Jungkook asked suddenly.

"What about them?" Detective Chi asked.

"Did they have any scars on their back?" Jungkook asked.

"I can't remember," Detective Chi said, after thinking for sometime.

"You guys didn't check it?" Jungkook asked.

"Sorry,we didn't thought it was important," Detective Chi said with an apology.

They really didn't check it.

"It's okay. Detective Chi,do you think it'd be possible for us to meet your forensic doctor?" Yongi asked.

"Let me check," Detective Chi said, standing up.

"I think he is hiding something," Jungkook said looking at detective Chi who was busy with his phone.

Yongi nodded.

Taehyung didn't say anything, just stare at Jungkook.

Jungkook noticed his gaze and truned to look at him.

But Taehyung didn't look away.

Jungkook looked at Taehyung's eyes and found something that he couldn't figure. But it seemed beautiful.

Jungkook thought he saw something purple in Taehyung's eyes. So vibrant and bright it was, that made Jungkook mesmerized.

"Why are you always looking at me like this?" Jungkook asked, looking away in a hurry.

He found himself unable to look away from that beautiful purple ocean.

"Because you're so beautiful 😍," Taehyung said smiling.

"Shut up," Jungkook roared.

Taehyung chuckled noticing Jungkook's red ears.

Yongi watched their interaction in amazement.

"One crazy panther, another sly hunter- seemed like a perfect combination,"Yongi thought with a small smile.
