The Elaborate Betrayal

"Ugh," came a groggy groan from within the tent.

Helen shifted uncomfortably, trying to turn to find a better position, but something was preventing her movement. She tugged at whatever was holding her wrists, growing increasingly restless as the bindings refused to give way.

"Ugh," she groaned again, her eyes finally fluttering open. The frown that creased her features deepened as she took in her surroundings.

"Huh... w-what's happening?" Helen muttered, her voice thick with confusion. She found herself in quite the predicament—bound securely to a chair.

"What's happening?! Ednar! Ednar!" she screamed repeatedly, but only silence answered her calls. Her wrists were tightly secured, as were her legs. Something had definitely happened after her conversation with Riley last night.
