CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

"You what? no way. I already said, no clan cats." I scoffed, turning around. "If that's all, you'd better go."

"W-wait! I'll tell everyone who you really are if you don't let me in!" Onyx said desperately, and I spun around, patience thrown to the wind. "Why do you want to get in so bad?!" I hissed, and Onyx bared his teeth right back. "Why does it matter to you?!"

Oh, then I stopped and let out a mocking laugh. "Thunderclan lost the battle I saw that day, so now you're running away from your responsibilities and hiding behind me, of all cats?" The nerve! No way!

… But then again, the cats definitely wouldn't trust me if they found out I was dead. Ughhhhh, too smart for his own good. "Fine," I muttered, and Onyx turned around, simply vanishing into the bushes. Not that I wanted or expected a goodbye.
