Chapter 2: Upon Wisps Of Memory

The Safehouse, Unknown City, Unknown State...

Despite the modest accommodations, the safehouse had been a welcome change from the room back at the medical facility as far as Roy had been concerned even with his hinted knowledge at being quite picky about where he laid his head in the past given his apparent taste in luxury. Once inside the safehouse, Roy could see Julian and Corey both breathe a sigh of relief as they began to relax retreating to their respective places of comfort as he stood towering above them six foot one and with a good deal of lean muscle. Aside from the unkempt beard and long black hair that draped about his massive shoulders, he had not known what he had looked like. Being caught up in the heat of the moment had done a lot for his senses but once the need for escape shifted to a sense of calm, his body had been taxed to the point of aches and pains he had not felt in a long while.

Roy made his way toward the bathroom where he took the liberty of making himself more presentable as he started the shower and discarded the rather unsavory hospital robe that had been his manner of dress for the length of time he'd been in the coma or something similar more or less. All the hustle and bustle at the moment had subsided enough that the usual aspects of body function had gotten his attention in the form of his aching bladder and Roy casually strolled over to the nearby toilet bowl and aimed his rather impressive cock to relieve himself.

It had been quite a change from a machine and various waste-catching devices being used he had no idea who the nurses and doctors were that had been in charge of keeping him functional as far as his body had been concerned during the coma but if he could thank them he might have even considered it.

Roy McCall made his way toward the shower, having anticipated a good cleaning from a vertical standpoint ever since he'd been able to get out of bed. The debris and sweat accumulated from the river exploits during his escape

The rush of the warm water beating against his heated and aching skin was quite the boon as he stood beneath the showerhead taking in all the sensation his formerly numb body had been denied while he'd been unconscious. The spray alone had been enough to remind him of the life he had left behind, one that dictated he'd been prone to cleanliness.

Flashes of a woman's sorrow-filled brown eyes had gotten his attention briefly before fading and shifting to a beautiful blonde with blue eyes with an equally more sorrow-riddled expression, she'd been pleading with him not to leave her, tears cascaded down her pale face as she begged him.

He seemed to recall her having been dressed in little more than a crisp white bedsheet as she clutched his arm, she was young, but not by much as far as youth in general had been concerned but of age, he'd gone out of his way to make sure of it from the looks of his memory flash.

Roy took a moment to collect himself feeling his balance shift as the weight of the memories and the heaviness of his body finally being mobile after so long in a coma had taken place. Roy's dark locks draped down his shoulders soaked and dripping as he leaned against the shower tile.

Another flash of memory saw a small child, a boy born his eyes not so unlike Roy's, he'd been a McCall, Sean Finnegan McCall had been his name and he was very dear to Roy in the past. Sean had been Roy's only son and as of note his only child, but the images of two boys a bit older than him flooded the formerly comatose man's mind and treated him to a considerable and dull ache before he shook it off. The boys had also looked a good deal like Roy, but he had not known them or rather he didn't think he was supposed to until their names came out of the chaotic muck that had been his tortured and weary brain.

Keegan and Corey.

His mind had not dared to reveal more with the growing headache as Roy turned his attention back to his shower as he continued to attempt to make sense of what his mind had been trying to tell him. One thing was for sure, whatever he recalled had been scrambled and broken aside from a few jarring images of young boys, three one Sean, one Keegan, and one Corey.

He wondered if he had any children given the boys' resemblance to him in some odd fashion and why he'd even bother to remember them in the first place. Roy once more shook off the memories and turned his attention to showering as he began to hear the voices of his accomplices outside the bathroom door.

{"You alright in there Roy?"} asked the voice of Julian with a small amount of concern.

"Yeah, just enjoying the heated water," replied Roy.

{"Sure buddy, you know if you shake it more than twice you're playing with it."} said Julian in jest. {"Not that we'd blame you, three years is a hell of a long time to be in a coma...hyperarousal notwithstanding."}

"Get the fuck out of here Jules, you should know by now if I wanted my dick played with I'd call up your sister," replied Roy as if he'd been at this with Julian for years.

Julian chuckled at the end of the door.

{"As if she'd trade her young pool boys for old fossils like you."} he added before walking away.

Roy turned his attention back to finishing his shower.

He wasn't too sure who Julian's sister had been but she didn't seem the type to want anything to do with pool boys.

Roy stood beneath the rushing water once more as yet another fragmented memory took hold of him.

The brunette with brown eyes had been back, and she seemed to have been heartbroken and disappointed in him.

{"How could you...?"} she had asked as her words cut through him as well as her evident hurt.

He had been fumbling over his words in search of an explanation for something that he couldn't very well explain but she shoved the pictures into his chest all the same as the tears cascaded down her cheeks. Roy got the sense that she'd been his wife.

He had nearly fallen over as she shoved the photos at him and he could feel her hand dipping into his chest as a sharp breath had been caught making him lose his balance as he gasped in the wake of her turning away from him. He had loved her and he'd been frantic in the memory. He tried so hard to explain that he didn't know how the pictures, which had been briefly noted as being him with a naked woman riding him bare had been taken in some dump of a rundown roadside motel and why he had no recollection of it until she threw the photos in his face.

From what Roy had gauged from the memory of the photos, they had been real, or rather the fix was in. He knew a set-up when he saw one strangely and wondered why the brunette hadn't or why he didn't school her on why it had been one. It was an odd thing to watch his world crumble from a memory and not be able to do a thing about it.

Shaking off the last of that memory, Roy finished up his shower and took note of the fact that Julian had left some better fitting and proper attire out for him given the hospital gown had outlived its use.
