The Master and His Eagle

Daphne continued the treatment of Elestria's foot. She came before breakfast and changed the bandages without sleeping pills. That gave Elestria a chance to see the bite marks.

She was sure the marks would take a very long time to disappear. Even though it didn't hurt anymore, the memory of Scarlett's leg being pulled hard wouldn't fade.

"Lady, you are strong. Others may not be able to move because of this wound."

Daphne sat down below on a small bench. Beside her was her wooden box containing medicines.

"I fainted immediately after being injured. I didn't think I was that strong," Elestria replied. She sat down at the dining table. Her face was downcast.

Elestria also said, "You have a lot of medicine. Are you sick?"

"I'm healthy," she said, looking up for a moment, "I like their smells. I take them everywhere."

"Your lips are pale. Is it really okay?"

Daphne nodded. "I am well, Lady."
