I... I should get some fresh air... *dresses up like there's -50°C outside, takes his phone and housekeys, and goes out to the corridor, it's really long with a really long rug stretched through it, a lot of lamps hang on walls, there aren't too many windows, while walking to exit he walks by May's Butler, Arek exhausted tries to put on a smile as he looks at him*Arek: Excuse me...May's Butler: Can I help you?Arek: I just wanted to say that I'm going out for a while... It survived... Maybe some other things survived too... *tears appear in his eyes* If... if this... survived... then why didn't they?... *he closes his eyes and cries silently*...They did have their armor, hadn't they?......*opens his eyes as he calms down*I guess that it was a strong enough blast to shatter it... *looks at the box* then why this box survived?...And not them... *looks sad at the ground*...*stands up trembling after a while, and looks at the trees behind his house that stretch into the sky*...*his breath, tries to be so light and free, as he opens his mouth a bit, and yet, it is so heavy, for his suffering never ends*...Come on, Arek......Can we? go there?......Just this once...Just once more... *turns and walks slowly with box in his hands**he heads to the forest behind the ruin of his house*...I really. love it......I remember going here when I was still a little shrimp... *enters the forest* It's been so long... so. so. long...6 years?... *looks up at the tree branches*Something like that... *that stretch over his head*I remember going here with sis and mom for long walks... *and the leaves that crunch under his feet*During summer, there were mosquitos all over the place... *wind blows by taking them along*And spider webs... *this painful cold of mortality*Because of that, I always preferred winter... *he looks up at the white from clouds sky* Well. Not only that... *and the cold light they give off*I also loved to ski... the only part of the year with snow... I was always so exhausted afterward... *I couldn't walk properly... *the cold wind blows at his frosted ankles*... *he looks forward again, the path in forest is clear and visible, although there are 2 massive fallen trees in the way, one of them in front is smaller*It was nice... *sounds from far away reach him a bit*... *it's the highway that's not far away*... *they sound like screams of hundreds of tortured souls*... *or maybe more like death slowly coming for him*Hm! *he jumps on the first one revealing a third one fallen after the massive one in the middle, it's more or less as big as the first one*Then again... hm! *he jumps on the other two as well, and then jumps off of them and keeps walking*Summer isn't too bad... I really liked it when we went to the beach... I still remember that cutting sand and powerful winds... *closing his eyes to think and forget*It was nice... very much so......*opens them* I remember when mom got harassed by someone and sis was like, "you should check if you're not in space", and then blasted him onto another world with her fist... *smiles and belly laughs exhausted*She always was into using brute force...Guess that at some point it affected me too... She was a kind soul... just like mom...*slows down as his smile washes off of his face* ...So why?... ...Why did they have to die?... *stops and closes his eyes and cries in silence*...*he walks again*I... I want to say something... but... what is it?......I don't want to be their burden... and here I am... causing so much trouble for them......I... ALways. Wanted to be someone they can depend on... someone they can tell their deepest secrets... someone they can rely on... Was it all a dream?...*she looks down stressed and thinks hard*...*gets out of bed and walks a bit scared to Arek's room**delicately puts her hand on the door knob unsurely*...*she forces herself to open the door, andpeeks inside to see a bright room, Arek is at his desk with headphones instead of his usual earphones, he's listening to something while doing his homework**May gapes at him with her mouth open, she thinks for a moment and smiles, and blushes a bit*...*she lets out a sigh and runs out quietly, moments later she comes back inside closing the door as quietly as possible, she's holding something**she sneaks up on Arek, you can hear the music that's coming out of his headphones, it's "The fire is gone" by Heaven Pierce Her, she looks over his shoulder with curious and smiling face to look at what he's doing**it's maths, she reads curiously what he wrote*...You missed a spot. *she points somewhere at his notebook*Arek: *JUMPS* JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!!! *he falls on the floor, and lies there...*May: *she takes Arek's notebook and looks at it* It's supposed to be x eaquals minus twelve devided by square root of three. Not twelve devided by square root of three....Arek? *the poor thing is staring into the void vacantly*...Arek: May. May: *smiles so brightly and filled with glee she tilts her head with a little jump* Yes!
