"Yuji, dear, let's go home, okay?"
He spoke softly as he reached out to tousle Qin Yuji's hair, but she dodged with a twist of her body.
Standing up, looking at the direction of his collar but not at him, Qin Yuji said coldly, "Mr. Chi, right? I don't know you."
The little woman's demeanor—that she wasn't angry but simply didn't care to bother with him—left Chi Jingxuan with a deep sense of powerlessness.
When he reached out to grab her hand, he barely touched her fingertips before she forcefully flung his hand away.
As Chi Jingxuan moved forward, he had barely taken a step when he heard a screech; Hu Jiahao pulled out a chair and ran over, positioning himself in front of Qin Yuji.
"You're really annoying, Yuji said she doesn't know you, why do you keep pestering her?"
Glaring at Chi Jingxuan, Hu Jiahao then turned to pat Qin Yuji on the head, "Yuji, don't be afraid, I'll protect you, I won't let this bad guy bully you."
"Mm."
Qin Yuji grinned, her eyes squinted with smiles.
