"Honestly?" May was talking to Olivia, her best friend and partner in crime. Note she knows May is bisexual.
"Yes.. honestly. I like her."
"Do you notice everything she does?"
"Um. Yes."
"Oh ho!" She wiggled her eyebrows. This weirdo.
She and Olivia were walking to school together.
"I am going to wing woman so hard right now!" Olivia said.
"Uh-huh." She said, "And how are you gonna do that? She probably doesn't even like girls! I can't even talk to this girl.."
"No she does." Olivia gave her a thumbs up.
"Source?"
"Me."
"Pfft-- you're so dumb." May said as she laughed.
"Not dumber than you."
After arriving to school May went and got her books out. And then she trips. Of course.
"Woah" A familiar voice says. Someone caught her.
Wolfish black hair, stunning blue eyes, tan skin, and she smells like peaches. What is this description? It's creeping me out.
Amy? Goddamn.
"You okay?" she says.
"Um, yeah. Yep. Fine. I'm amazing."
"Haha. Nice"
Wooosh. This conversation is as dry as the Sahara desert. What should I say?
"Oh, are you.. May? I've noticed you. When I was.. collecting the homework."
"Oh yeah I am. You're.. Amy right?" Why was she hesitating before asking if she were Amy?
"Yeah." Amy said, "You know, I'd like it if we could become friends.. or something."
God, this sweet talker.
"Yeah.. yeah! I was thinking of that.. too." May said.
"Ok, I'll see you soon, May." Amy said and walked away, waving.
"...Hell yes." May was jumping up and down the whole way to math class.
After science class, Amy was walking away and she was happy but felt embarrassed at the same time.
"You know, I'd like it if we could become friends.. or something." What the actual hell was that? Amy could wanted to die so badly.
But.. she looked happy? I guess.
God. She looks so cute, like a golden retriever.
What am I going to do?
"Yo" Ah, it's Mark. Her friend.
"What's on your mind, Amy?" It's Vivi, her best friend and basketball teammate.
"Hey Mark, Vivi. Nothing much" They wouldn't get it either way.
"Crush?" Vivi said. Spot on, what the..?
"...What, no? Um no? No??" Amy said.
"We heard you the first time. Heh." Mark snickered.
Vivi nudged Amy and said, "I'd like to meet him!"
Her not him ya idiot, "Yeah, yeah." Amy said.
"Oh! Amy you do know we have a tournament coming up, right? Practicing?"
"Yep, mhm."
"Okayyy I got to go anyways, soon. Come Mark."
"Cya Amy."
Sigh.. how would they react if I came out to them?
She turned the corner and bumped into someone.
"Ah, sorry?!" It's May! That's so cliche.
"O-oh. Sorry Amy. You good?" I am, but my heart isn't.
"What was that?" May said. Shit, did I say that out loud?
"Nothing!" Amy said, "Just.. not excited for P.E?.."
"Oh, yeah. It's basketball right? Do you not like basketball?" May said.
"Oh, no. I do. Never mind. Um. Forget that. Scratch that. Yep. I'm excited for P.E."
"Hah! You're so awkward at times Amy. It's cute." May said, laughing.
Cute. Cute? Cute?! She said cute. Hell yes, I love my life.
"Mm.. yeah. Thanks? I'll.. see you at P.E, May. Bye!" I waved at her.
She waved back and smiled.
"..I'd like to see how good you are in basketball. Looking forward to it." May said.
I can feel the heat rising up to my face, she really is a sweet talker. Wait no, she isn't. Friends are just like this. Supportive! Yep.
"You better look forward to it." Amy said.
They held eye contact for a few seconds before they realized they have to go get ready for P.E.
