[ 8 ] On a House search (part-1)

"Can't I accompany you, Lou?" Lucas asked while pouting.

"No, take care of the shop. I might have to wait a day or two before coming back, and yeah, don't forget to register those transfer documents at Mrs. Patterison's office," said Louise. Lucas was a little dissatisfied but nodded anyway. It's not like he can't see anything new after shifting; it's either now or some days later.

He looks in the mirror. He usually wears some baggy jackets with sometimes louse and sometimes tight jeans, but today he wore a sky-blue shirt tucked in black jeans. He looked handsome and particularly stood out in the crowd.

Looking at his odd face, Louise nodded to himself. He won't have to worry about Lucas doing weird things at home. He left worry free.

He took a subway to Crystal City. It was quite a rush on the train, as Crystal City is the capital city of Alazar Country. But luckily, he found a seat. It took around five hours to get there. Louise was quite tired, but at least he reached here; he went straight to book a hotel for two days and one night.

He rested a little while eating noodles for lunch and went straight to a famous tourism spot, which at the moment is the best place to get information.

Crystal City was quite beautiful, with a mixture of technology and magic, but he didn't have time to admire it.

He has to go find a house quickly and go back soon. The graduation ceremony is closer than a week away. He has to pack things. Lucas is not realistic about such things. At most, that boy can pack mine and his own clothes.

I went to find a city tour guide shop that looked quite shabby. The location of the shop was not good either.

Although it looked bad from the outside, it's quite clean from the inside. Thier was a big-belllied man reading a newspaper. Although it would be rude to say, I thought his face looked like that of a street robber. There was also a young beta man sitting near the desk. He looked quite smart and handsome at first sight. 'Must be a customer,' that thought came to my mind.

Beta's eyes lit up when he saw me. He politely asked me to sit in front of the big-belllied man's table and excitedly sat on his privious seat. I could still feel his gaze on us. But anyway, I ignored unnecessary people as always and focused on big-bellied men.

"What can I do for you?" His voice was quite hoarse, but his face showed a polite expression. He seems to be the boss here. I came straight to the point: "I want some information."

Hearing this, that man nodded. "What kind of information?" He asked, "About the households and apartments near the Magic Academy, any street that is not suitable for Omega's, bars in the city, and lastly, the vacant shop locations."

Hearing this, the man's eyes widened a little for a second, but that was just for a second before he nodded to Louise. "We have information, as long as you pay the amount."

I heard that Louise took out two gold crescents. "This should be enough, right?" Louise's tone doesn't match his words. It feels like he was ordering people around.

Although the big-belllied man was an Alpha, he didn't mind his tone. All he minds is money. Two gold crescents are enough. a person's half a year worth of food. His face wasn't trustworthy-looking. Although his nephew helped him in his business, his shop was shabby.

Only some poor people come to him, or sometimes people like Louise come. In order to survive, he always kept his information about the city in check.

Looking at the two gold crescents, that Beta guy's eyes lit up. He looked at Louise with a new light in his eyes.

That big- bell took the Crescents and said, "My name is Milo Blue. It's a pleasure to do business with you." "You can call me Frost."

Milo Blue nodded.

Milo took out a big map alongside some small maps.

He pointed at a big square near the outskirts of the city and said, "Here is the Magic Academy, in front of Crystal City's forest."
