[ 11 ] On The Way Of Crystal City

so I decided to buy it!

It cost me a total of 420 gold crescents. more than half of my whole fucking savings.

It burned my heart, but I could reluctantly swallow it after all; it's not like it was not worth the money. While thinking of that, I calmly walked out of the subway station.

I would have to go and pack every not-used daily thing. We wouldn't be waiting for a lot of time before shifting.

And just like that, on the special day held for students leaving the school, the graduation ceremony came.

It was quite boring, to be honest; it's not like he and Lucas had any friends here anyway.

"We invite the star student of the year, Louise Frost. That represents the school that has won the chance of being a first-class admission student." Applause could be heard after her speech.

Hearing my name, I went towards the stage. I calmly got the award from the school.

which was basically useless because the admission proof of the academy is within documents, which I got yesterday. But I have to pretend to be excited and all...

Finally, that boring ceremony came to an end. The good thing about this whole ceremony was that two or three dances were performed by juniors.

I and Lucas took a taxi to go back to their house. Lucas accidentally slept in the car. I tried to wake him, but to no avail.

So, I had to carry him in a piggyback to the house.

The last night here...

Tomorrow morning, Louise got ready and woke up Lucas. He made a light breakfast and ate before Lucas came.

Just when Lucas went downstairs, there was a honk outside.

"I will go outside to check." Louise said, "Can't I help you?" Lucas whined. Louise had already come towards the door and said, "I can, but after eating breakfast."

Hearing this, Lucas hurriedly started to eat. When Louise turned around, he couldn't help but sign to himself.

He went outside. "There were already two middle-aged Alpha men standing there. One of them politely smiled at me while the other was, and it seems the boss looked at me with impatience.

I simply nodded at the friendly Alpha and led them inside the house. All packages were already settled here. All there was left to do was transport them to the truck, then to the new house.

Alpha workers were experienced; they seriously started to work by asking the obvious.

Lucas hurriedly came and started to move things. Seeing a seemingly cute and vulnerable-looking Omega coming to help, the rude guy couldn't help but say, "Hey, Kid! If you don't want to accidentally break things, stay away!"

Hearing his tone, Louise frowned.

Looking at Louise's dark face, the other friendly guy hurriedly said, "Ha! Ha! Pardon my friend; he was just saying to be careful and not accidentally break something."

Louise could tell he was lying from his tone but didn't pursue further; it would only waste his time and money if he started to find fault in these guys.

Seeing Lucas completely ignore him, that guy indifferently turned back to his own work.

Those two big guys shifted all big things.

Lucas picked medium- and small-sized random personal items like clothes, while I picked all small and easy-to-break things like crockery and cutlery.

After carefully loading everything, those workers sat on the front while we sat on the back, covering ourselves with a big cloth to make some shadows and protect ourselves from the sun.

Thankfully, it wasn't a summer month, and it would not be easy to block the heat completely.

It took more time for us to reach the city than the time I took a subway, around 9 hours. I signed looking at the already midnight in the city. Lucas was asleep again. He is too lousy, sleeping whenever he feels bored in an unknown vehicle.

I picked him up and booked a room for both of us; it was not a convenient time to place things inside the new house.

It was already quite clean when I bought it, but just to be sure, I cleaned it again.

The other two guys did the same and rented a hotel. They seem to be pretty calm because of this.

The next day, we moved all the things inside the new house.
